@@freestylefletcher I'm interested to see whether this is the case because Akuma's tools seem to provide him with greater flexibility in the midrange, more options from distance & similar if not better close pressure because of the variety in his kit. As in most SF games most of Gouki's bad match ups look at worse fairly even, whereas Ken has some real stinkers. The fact that Tokido is so confident is a little confusing.

When I played various characters, I realized that people like Dee Jay and Juri can grapple very easily, but with characters like Ken, you need to be very close to the opponent, why is this?

It just varies between different characters. Often ones with slower walk speeds will be given a larger throw range to compensate.

@@bulthaosen1169 I said "often". It isn't a hard rule. There are other things the devs could take into consideration.

@@bulthaosen1169 and DJ's forward walk speed is actually in the bottom half of the cast (16 out of 22).
