Luke is a lot worse now so it makes sense. He needs at least three interactions to be able to kill Akuma, who has the lowest health in the game. He’s fighting an uphill battle. Maybe DDT would help him but he doesn’t seem to think so.

Nerf was kind of needed tho, and I tell you this as a Luke player. But he does feel weak now compared to any of the other shotos

Luke vs akuma is kind of like gojo vs sukuna, the strongest shoto of today vs the strongest shoto in history

Are all fireball characters really shotos, cause I can’t tell if sagat is one, they all have dps and fireballs but I thought shotos were assassin fist fighters only

@@9reen_Shotos have a projectile and a dp, basically the ones that can make the opponent jump to counter them with a dp strat.

@@9reen_ if my memory serves me right, basically any fighter with fireball, DP, and some kind of leg movement is considered a shoto archetype. Which is why technically sagat is a shoto. And also the word shoto was derived from shoto karate which I think isn't really the style ryu/ken use, it was just some translation shenanigans that just stuck with the community.

​@@redjux04To be fair by that logic Chun-Li is also a shoto, even tho her DP is whit her legs. Hell, that would make like 50% of the SF cast a Shoto. I understood that a shoto is just a character who uses the Ansatsuken fighting style (the fighting style Ryu/Ken/Akuma uses) Dan for example is a Shoto, same as Sakura, but not Luke.
