⁠@@justjackpots1179walking forward generates a bit of drive meter. He makes like 0.1 meter by walking in between the link and is able to effectively use 6.1 meters in a combo (max is usually 6). He can use the 0.1 meters for a 3rd DR cancel, OD special, DI reset. In this game if you don’t have enough drive meter for something, it will use what you have and put you in burnout.

@@maxsantiago6569 That's a similar system to Arcsys games like Guilty Gear and DBFZ where you gain meter for doing anything aggressive. In the case of Guilty Gear you actually lose meter if you run away too much

It’s incredibly insane how willing he is to go into burnout. It also takes a lot of execution to play Ryu to this level with the kind of combo routes he’s choosing.

​@TenjinZekken Semy probably gots thrown around a lot even at his current level. There's no shot being in burnout is going to work long-term. I also saw some really dumb decisions made by opponents here that pro players wouldn't have made.

@@Agent_A_Graham Yep. Compilations are almost never the way to learn a game. Maybe you can use this to learn some new kill combos, (I say maybe since I don't know Ryu well enough to know if these are good combos or not), but compilations are always super skewed to one side.

Man pretty simple train the timing. When u got that right it will feel like riding a bike😂 The damage is crazy and easy to do.

Personally I've been labing out ryu and found his normals, frame data, damage, combos, neutral, defence are all fine. His offense is kinda ass without DI since only HK his plus. I remember back in 5 they used to mix stagger and tic throws after ryu's MP and it did a lot for him. I feel like all he needs is a plus on block button and he'll rise to A tier.

This is some crazy knowledge here 1:44, as far as I know, some supers don't have projectile invincibility, he knows that and chose to finish with a hadoken, instead of a meaty attack or anything else, the Ken player knew nothing about it.

I play with ryu and it never fails to baffle me how theres an extra hit when the opponent falls from the sky and it counts as an extra hit but no damage but kimberly hits you with the spray paint with a sliver of health; just her posing will k.o you lol
