Akuma is a super shoto. Typically he has busted moves at the cost of low hp. Characters like Marissa can kill akuma with one combo so actually winning with him at high lvl requires lots of skill.

I don’t know about that, cause the required skills are different. But you’ll find out how hard using guile is when you actually use him, cause it’s a lot harder than it looks.lol

I play guile and im diamond 2, the release of akuma has basically kept me in my place even more so now. Since hes all i face in ranked these days. I just see him come up and im immediately tilted and assume iv lost already 😂

Punk's Akuma needs a lot of work. I don't understand how he's ranked that high with Akuma.

Punk plays every character using his understanding of the game mechanics in general. He does concern himself with specialization in characters. That is why he is ranked that high. He can beat a lot of people with his mastery of the neutral alone. And he does that often.

Punk not looking very optimal.

Punk plays too honestly if that makes sense. He doesn't leverage his characters advantages or gimmicks, even to mix or fake out. Its like he only thinks the game should be about footsies and punish counters. Its definitely an important part and something he does well, but he's not balanced, and I think that's the main reason why he doesn't succeed at the big tournaments as often as others. Its clear he doesn't like certain aspects of the game and shys away from them when all of the game matters. You need variety to keep your opponent guessing. Only so many kinds of openings you can get from the same footsies game over and over and over.

You know that getting 2nd at world caliber tournaments is not “failure” correct? 🤣 I get you think you have insight to improve a player’s outcomes, but unless you are contending at a similar level you cannot expect to be taken seriously.

How he become rank 1 with that skills? Punk is not even in the level of Angrybird. Punk is the worst akuma player.
