The fish come right up to you, they are so curious, makes me think that maybe some of them have never seen a human being before, thus the no-fear! Anyway, great video , I'm so glad you left the natural sounds and didn't torture us with some crap music :) I'm off to Seychelles tomorrow, to start my adventure! (At the cousin Island Nature Reserve!)

Thanks for your comment! I think, it's the opposite, and the fish have seen a lot of divers, and so have learnt, that divers don't pose any threat to them.

Great video!! You got so many amazing close up shots. What camera/lens do you use? I only use a GoPro on a pole, but rarely can I get that close to the fish. We will be going to the Seychelles in 9/24. I hope the sealife is that abundant then. And since they are my favorite, I loved the octopus. Thanks for sharing.

Hello! Mostly I used a Gopro Hero 4 black with a h2o redfilter on an Aquapod stick. A few scenes were made with a Canon G16.

Hi, the video is taken from different spots in Mahe and Praslin. I updated the description so you can see, which dive spots are at Mahe and which are at Praslin.

A very good movie, fantastic natural colours. Tell me how did you achieve such great natural colourfull footage? What camera did you use? Which program do you use for editing? Did you use any filters? I usually record with GoPro Hero 4 Black edition in 4K SuperView, I always have a problem with warped a bit footage and because of the red filter, sometimes I need to spend some time in colour correction to remove the exes of red colour.

Hello! I also use a GoPro Hero 4 Black. I have protune off and use a H2O-Tools Red Filter. I only get too much red, when I forget to remove the filter at low depths like above 5 meters. For editing I use Kdenlive which runs under linux.

Thanks for the reply :) For editing, I use Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018 (still a lot to learn) Do you have any tips regarding proper settings for GoPro when recording underwater? You have mentioned that you leave the Protune off, I always have mine on etc. If you could help me with some good advice regarding the settings, I would be grateful.

I used to use 1080p, but now I use 2.7K (2704x1520) with 60 fps. That's all, there are not so many options. Maybe you could try to switch off protune and watch the results to see if it's any better. Maybe protune interfers with your red filter?

Thanks for the tip. I will have another opportunity to test the settings in June on Gran Canaria. Maybe setting the white balance to one value instead of auto white balance will help (I've heard) as well I think I will need to switch off the auto low light option and protune. I was actually thinking of switching from 4K SupeView to 2.7K. Well...anyway I will need to wait until June to test it. Thanks again for your replies.

You're welcome! And when you go to Gran Canaria be sure not to miss the dive site named "La Catedral" (not far from Las Palmas).

this was between 5 meters and 40 meters. the shallower dives are the more colorful - the deeper, the bluer :-)

In Seychelles better snorkelling you have 3 hours tanks on you and the same view.
