The way this is like taking a traditionnal song and using so relevantly and powerfully gorgeous elements of afro-cuban and jazz rythms and harmony is absolutely stunning

Your harmonies and blend are exquisite! If stars could sing, this is what it would sound like. Otherworldly but somehow deeply human 🥰

I think this is the most intricate and beautiful singing I've ever heard in my life. Apart from just being warm and smooth, it's so mentally stimulating! I can't help but give my undivided attention when I listen. It's like medicine for the soul.

Llegué gracias al Carlitos Cornel. Como se dice en la Argentina "me voló la cabeza". Es probable que en un rato youtube me termine armando una lista de reproducción con esta obra maravillosa. Armónicamente sensacional. Y sin perder lo "tribal" del canto y del estilo.

I got instant goosebumps and tears around 0:50 - 1min timestamps. That's the most transcendental vocal harmony I have ever listened to. Anyone else explain why I cannot stop crying every time I listen to that. It's literally tears of joy.

Le cantan a eleggua, la deidad que en la religión Yoruba se encarga de abrirte los caminos. Es un canto ancestral llevado a cuba por los esclavos de la zona de Benín y Nigeria en África. Se ha conservado a través de la tradición oral y por el amor a esa religión que forma parte de la cultura cubana.
