You’re so welcome, I hope they were helpful. Lol and I’m quite a fan of asmr videos so perhaps they have influenced me subliminally 🤔🤣
Brilliant video. So helpful. Thank you!
Thank you for making this video!
Great tips ...thank you!
This was really helpful. Thank you. Your dress is beautiful!
I found this to be very helpful - and your Pleiades dress is gorgeous!
I have never thought to use tricot I terracing for double gauze, but it makes perfect sense! Thanks for sharing your tips.
What a beautiful calm and relaxed video 😌 And of course very helpful ❤️ Thank you! 🙏
Very informative, thank you!
Hi Suzie!! Thanks for the wonderful tips & information.. Deeply appreciated.... 💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
I adore double gauze and bought several yards(!) when I started learning to sew two summers ago. I quickly decided I wasn't ready to tackle it until I learned a lot more. Now I'm ready! I can use my walking foot, make french seams, use seam binding and sew without pulling and stretching my fabrics. I appreciate your tips on stay tape etc. I'll add this to my tool bag as well.
Mots useful! Especially about ironing. Tks!
Great tips and that’s a beautiful dress
Thanks for all the great tips! The dress is lovely 😍

Thank you for the video. I would like to add that for the finishing seems the rolled hem is nice to.
Thanks, great video as I bought some double gauze fabric recently for the first time. Now I know how to handle it.
Thankyou. Made me braver to try fabric out my comfort zone! Love your dress

Oh great!! I’m so glad it may have helped. Happy sewing your top 😄
Thank you for a very clear video. I used double gauze a few years ago for a Bettine dress and Im keen to use it again for something else. I think I must have intuitively realised the pitfalls but didn’t stabilise the seams which I would do next time. Your dress looks beautiful.🤗
I am so glad I found your video. I just bought some double gauze to make a skirt for Easter Sunday and this really helped me a lot. Thank you

You are very welcome Bridget, I hope you find them helpful 😁
I have that Simplicity 8910 pattern and love it. I made one so far but I altered the sleeves to make them shorter for our Texas heat. I plan to make more for the coming summer. It’s a very flattering pattern for those of us who no longer have that girlish waistline. 😂

Oh that’s good to hear! I must admit I made a toile and it came up so tight 😆 I haven’t been able to go back and make a larger size yet...🤣 But I really want to make the dress, so I must get around to it!

@@Threadquarters my upper arms are also on the plump side so I actually made a larger size for the bodice than I normally take. That helped a lot.
Thank you.

Thank you so much, just bought some in the same pink colour as you had to make a summer dress. I’m sure the finished dress will be much better now I know the pitfalls.

Wonderful! So glad the tips were useful for you!
Well done! I have a few yards already, and will put your tips to good work. Do you know of Susan B Anderson, the knitter who owns Barrett Wool Company? She has started quilting, and discusses in her vlog how she loves using double gauze as the backing on her quilts...they come out so lovely. Thank you, janet

You’re very welcome! Hope the tips help when you come to sew your fabric. Oh no, I don’t know of her channel, but I bet the double gauze makes those quilts oh so cosy!!
can you give more info on the wooden table your husband made that converts to that amazing workspace please...would love to make one myself for my very small sewing area
Hey I have a question can you sew sequins and bugle beads on muslin fabric ?
That is a verrrrrrrry long Skillshare plug
Can you sew sequins and beads onto it ?
can you use a straight stitch?
Can I add a pattern fabric on double gauze?
i think i will make a shirred dress with my guaze, hopefully that prevents some stretching. wish me luck
