Great idea Angela, I crochet some in the past, but this is a better idea, love it.

I made these years ago, and they are still going strong. I’ve also made them by folding the sides of the towel to the center, then stitch across the half way mark of the towel. It is much easier than gathering the towel. The gathered ones are prettier, though. I’ve done them both ways. Good demo, Angela!

My Nannie (grandma) made those but instead of using a potholder, she crocheted the top and crocheted a loop too and then sewed a button on.

I make those. I've also made the ones with the little dresses as toppers.
