Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Love embroidery, or just learning it? This tutorial will make sewing a blanket stitch by hand a breeze! You can sew this stitch on any type of fabric, but I'm demonstrating on one of my favorites, felted wool sweaters! Thank you so much for uploading this from the U.K., you’ve taught me a new stitch! I’ve just taken up sewing things for my children as a hobby :)

Thank you! Your tutorial was really helpful. In particular, how to finish and start a new thread. 🌸

Thank you!
You do it the hard way. If you go up thru the fabric it would be much easier and you make sure the thread is behind the needle.

Thanks for your comment! I admit that I didn't understand at first, but I looked into it and saw what you meant. I'd always known it this way, but you're right that the other way seems easier!
But how do we hide the knot if we have a single layer project!?

There might be another way to do it, but what I do is insert the needle under one of the stitches already made, near the fabric and then, before pulling the thread all the way through, pass the needle through the loop of thread made, then pull to tighten the knot. You can do this once or twice. Then, if the fabric is thick, like the one I use here, you can stick the needle into the fabric right near the knot and bring it out in another spot, then trim the thread. This way the tail of thread isn't visible.

You can use any embroidery needle. I often use Clover Gold Eye Embroidery needles ( amzn.to/2qEOeSL )
