Amazes me how many sewers say that they’re impatient when it’s a craft requiring patience 😂 y’all are funny

Hahaha it’s like when we learn the patience for one thing the impatience transfers to another 😂

@@SewRena could you also do early 1960s sheath dresses too? No one has made that yet.

Different experience for everyone.
You look absolutely beautiful in this dress and in all the 1940's and 1950's styles you wear!! I hope through your influence more women of all races start wearing these beautiful fashions!

So attractive and feminine ❤
That dress and the color are perfect for you!!! Positively stunning!
I am mesmerized watching you sew. It honestly slows down my heart rate. So calming to watch. I don't sew. I wish I did. The sewing terminology goes right over my head but I don't care! Keep videos coming!
Oh, Serena, I am absolutely starting to "hero worship", you. I fantasize that I had been raised maybe with a seamstress grandmother who taught me everything that you can do! You are so talented and amazing!!!😊🥰
Beautifully done! Looks fabulous! Well done.
This Gorgeous dress is so DORIS DAY❤❤❤
Wow! Stunning pattern, looks fabulous on you!
This is so pretty, it looks beautiful on you. I love 1940s and 50s styles
Serena, you never disappoint.. beautiful from head to toes again! 🎉❤
Thank you for the nugget about interfacing in relation to the seam allowance! ❤
Oh that's a really cute style! I love the way the bolero floats a little on the front, it subtly flirts with retrofuturist.
I like you love all things 50's. I was born in 1949 so I grew up with all these styles. My mother sewed beautifully.
OH my gosh, GGGIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRLLLLLLLLLLL!!!! I absolutely LOVE this!!! Superb job well done!!
Both the pattern and the color seem to have been created especially for you, because it is glorious on you! ❇💚❇The dreamy color puts me in mind of some cool, comforting, yummy summertime delights, such as key lime pie, or ice cream that is flavored with pistachio or jasmine matcha tea! 😋
The interlining is a new skill for me. I'll have to use that idea. What a classy looking dress. Very pretty on you.
Your sewing skills impress me. Nicely done, Serena. You look lovely.
As is everything you've made, it's beautiful and elegant. I've always loved this Era of fashion but you make it cool to wear again. Thank you for expressing your time line in making the dress. It's nice knowing you don't have to finish in one day.
Stunning! I was not fond of the fabric until you put it on.
Your dress is gorgeous and you are just beautiful! Thanks for sharing your talents.
Your videos are fascinating! I grew up watching my sisters sew their clothes in the 60s, so these retro patterns are amazing! I have always wondered why more people don't bring these classy styles back today!! Thank you!
This is such a summer dress. Just gorgeous.
This is so pretty, and beautiful on you! I love this time period. Thank you for sharing it
Perfect dress, fabulous color. So much skill❤
Of course Mrs SewRena you know I love your style you look 👀 perfect I love the color your hair looks great
Love the color, fit, and final fashion show, well done!
I used to love to sew, hands too old now. That dress was gorgeous and looked beautiful on you, even if YOU say not a good hair day. Thanks for sharing.
You are such a joy to watch! Thank you! My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 12 and I never stopped! It's so rewarding. I don't make many clothes anymore, I make quilts and things now but my love of sewing is still there! ❤
A definite favorite! Great job!
I haven't sewn in ages (since having my 3 kids) and I miss it. I bought a few of the patterns you use so I can follow along in the future. But I do love just listening to your videos (I don't watch them--- I listen while cleaning) and hoping your descriptions will seep into my mind when I'm ready to start again. I can picture what you're doing in the video. I love your vintage style and your video style.
Beautiful you look amazing in it.
Gorgeous love the colour ❤ and the lining is gorgeous too!
Very cute. I don't think I've ever done a liner like that, but it would be a nice stabilizer and also be pretty, too. Thanks for sharing this.
You bring the brightest light with you wherever you go. Thank you for sharing your sewing prowess with us. I used to make most of my own clothes. Then USA fabric Mills started closing and fabric prices skyrocketed and quality plummeted. I wish I lived closer to NYC where some fabric warehouses still are located.
I appreciated the reminder not to apply interfacing all the way to the curved edge. Nothing beats experience 😎
Always so stylish and elegant! I love this dress!
Love seeing your vintage clothing. Beautiful sewing.
You have a passion and i need people like you
You look _extra_ gorgeous in this dress (you look gorgeous all the time, just so you know!). 🥰
MY GOODNESS YOU ARE AWESOMELY TALENTED ❤❤❤❤❤
Gorgeous color! You look radiant and the construction is amazing. So elegant! 💜
Wow. Love it and the gloves with it.
I'm so glad to have found your channel... I collect 1950's vintage, and love to dress vintage, but unfortunately, I have no idea how to make clothes! When I see someone who can, I am extremely impressed! You look amazing and so talented too!
Your bring back memories of how I used to sew a lot of my clothes . since I stared quilting I haven't sewn anything to wear I think I'm going to be looking for patterns for me
Absolutely classy and stunning

Thank you 💕❤️❤️
Your dresses and other fashion creations are so stunning! Each time you model something new for us, I think, "Well, this is it, it's the most beautiful, she can't possibly top this." And, invariably, a few days later, you show up in another gorgeous, over the top creation that you "just ran up" that is runway ready! This sheath is marvelous; I especially love the bow detail at the bust, the neckline and the color! As usual, you have outdone yourself. Then, pairing the dress with the gloves for the reveal - well, it's just so classy and sophisticated (just like you)! Did you ever see the movie, "Funny Face" with Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire? I think you could so easily replace Audrey in all the photography sessions in Paris, modeling all your own fashions. You have the style, the poise and your clothes are all from the same era as the film, an easy swap! You and your fashions would become super stars! Of course, you already are a star, to me and to your other ardent fans! 🌟🩷😊
I love it... it's giving!
Very classic look...the color is stunning as well❤

@@terrig7006, same. I can sew on a button or repair a tear if it’s in the seam and do some simple hemming that’s it……..😃😃
Something I really like is felled seams either by hand or flat felled seams with machine. I have also used bias binding finish on long seams of heavy wool for skirts and that works really well to stop fraying.
Thats such a good one.
