A Transatlantic crossing from Southampton to New York City on Cunard's Queen Mary 2 is s dream come true! But what if the crossing is hosted by #ahoyvintagecruises and is vintage themed? And what if wearing vintage costume is part of the fun?

I am watching this lovely video once more but now with eyes full of delight. I will be making an Edwardian/Late teens wardrobe of various oceanic shades. What fun we shall have!

I'll be making a blog post and video for every piece including the split skirt. I made it in black with a red center. Very fun!

I've seen that others have joined! I didn't know anyone going when I signed up last year other than my cabin mate but now so many have decided to go. Very fun!

@@aperfecttouch I do have photos somewhere. He served on several of the big liners. He made the BEST bacon sandwiches, which were the most common thing to be ordered via room service at night. They had a little kitchenette to rustle up snacks. He was on the liners which were used as troop carriers during WWII.

@@mandylavida What great stories! Thank you so much for sharing them with me! I was with a lady whose father was transported on the Queen Mary during the war. We looked for the stairwell he had described to her which was his place to sleep. I will order a bacon sandwich in your grandfather's memory!
