Thinking about death at 3AM si relatable.

I just love the grainy and distorted sounding drum and cymbals to it, gives it a numbly psychotic feel and the synth at the second part gives it that manic rush of adrenaline

It's 1995 in NYC, we just heard a new track which everyone deems the "new style of music." We're all in Psuedo in SoHo, NYC, waiting for the DJ who told us this new shit from UK/England/London came out. We're all awaiting the music exchange in the club, which has no age restrictions, just waiting for new overseas music. I'm like 13 years old at the time. Yeah, gives me those vibes.

Is distorted square wave, with what sounds like a sine wave reinforcing the sub bass region. Sounds like there may be added harmonic content in the sub bass, done via FM, or distortion/eq, or could be a distorted 808.All of these things could work.

@@bobsondugnutt9466 so I probably wasn't clear. You're gonna wanna get a synth, dunno what daw/vst you prefer, get a square wave, put some unison on it (2 or 3 voices). Play with unison settings, make it sound how you want. Distort. Put it in an eq, and high pass the sub region. Have corresponding midi in your sub bass and square wave. You may know what I just said. I just felt it important. That's one way to blend sub reinforcement into your basses, and not have a bunch of muddy low end destruction. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
