Oh this was fun! and I like this box (seems I like them all). My favorites are the thread color and the light. The jelly roll fabrics remind me of civil war quilt fabrics and colors. I’m a sucker for Fall colors and I have lots of those colors in my stash. So thinking I will make the quilt and add borders with whatever I can find in my stash to go with the jelly roll to make it bigger - a throw size perhaps! Thank you, as always, for another box opening session❤

Kim Diehl fabric isnt my cup of tea, but I know she is one of the FQS big sellers, so it makes sense to have it in a Sew Sampler Box. It is many years since we had one. I think her fabric may have been n my second ever box with a nice star pattern.

Anxious to see u use the light.

I love the box. And the light alone is worth the box. I got my yesterday to.

Another great value in this box. $27 light, $26 jelly roll - that alone covers the cost of the box! I don’t usually do reproduction fabrics, but I love these colors. I’m going to probably add more more fabric make that pattern for my dad. That fabric looks like “dad fabric” to me! I think her name is pronounced “deal.” Anyway thanks for being so quick with the unboxing! My box goes to my home in WA, but I stay in TX with my dad for 2-3 months at a time, so I always tune in to see what’s in the box!

I was so happy to get my box so quickly only to open it and p nothing in it made me smile 🙄. I will eventually use the fabric roll with the pattern and of course I am collecting the Pressed Flowers Patterns.

We got the same fabric line from February 2024 Open Gate subscription box! I like my quilts light and bright myself! Omg I needed a light!! My box arrives tomorrow - the needles are good quality needles - sell them in my shop but I don’t hand sew either.

This is a great box! That light is expensive. I have checked it out before, because I am cheap lol. They also have a laser light to attach to your machine from that company. I liked everything and can’t wait to get mine.

Still waiting for mine to come in. Typically I don’t get it until at least a week has passed~guess it takes a while to get out where I live. Probably one of the last to see it, so I have gotten tired of waiting on pins and needles and look to you to give me the spoiler, lol. I really like the light and will put that to good use. I agree with you and I’m not a big fan of darker old fashion fabric but there are some nice ones I will use. I don’t use that type of thread either, so, overall, not my favorite box but they are always fun to receive. Thanks for always posting so quickly!

I haven't gotten the February box, but I like to see what coming a head of time since I'm almost done redoing my quilt roomS. I still get anxious to see my box eventhough I watch you open it. Quiltcon is here about an hour away from me in Raleigh NC. The Quilted Cow has a monthly subscription too, not sure if you heard of them and I think The Rusty Moon might have some kind of monthly subscription, I keep missing the live for them, but thought you might want to check it out. Since I've had to take early retirement I've been watching a lot of lives, but it's kinda getting to over whelming, but at the same time a few of them have some great sales on some great fabric. I wish sometimes you would go live that would be cool. You could invite only certain people. I know it can be more time consuming. I'm thinking about doing a live longarm/sew a long as soon as I finish my quilt room and as soon as I get over procrastinating over it LO. We'll I hope you have a wonderful weekend. 😊

I previously wrote how disappointed I was and how dreadful the pattern made the fabric look. I went online to see what I could find. I went to the Fatquartershop and they have a quilt kit with this fabric and it looks really nice. I have some fabric that would coordinate but I still need a pattern that works for a jelly roll. But at least I have ideas buzzing in my head.

This was the worst box for me. I am no longer a fan of reproduction fabrics. I want something cheerful this time of year.

Well, quite disappointed. I know that beautiful things can be made with fabrics that you least expected. The pattern does nothing for the fabric line except accent the unlikeable fabric. I'm going to go online to see quilts made with reproduction lines, I hope to find a similar color scheme with a nice pattern for a jelly roll. That pattern makes the fabric look dreadful and I'm sure it's not.
