Nice rig . . . . Especially like your transom setup. How long has the boat boot (the fabric cover) lasted? Mine usually last a season or maybe 2. Have been looking for a better quality one, but no luck there.

Nice setup. I'm trying to customize mine now and having trouble with motor mount. I like your idea with the dowels. My question is how long did you make the dowels and what did you use to stabilize the back of the mount?

Hey Aaron, I used to long lag bolts to attach the motor mount to the back of the raft. I then use the dowels to provide the structure needed to push or pull the raft with the motor. It works really well. This is pretty heavy duty, especially compared to the cheap motor mount they sell online. Hope this helps.

@@chrisgeigle6787 Yes that helps. Do you use nuts at the bottom of those long bolts? I like you idea with the eye lag loops through the dowel but I think I'll try to use bolts with wing nuts to lock the dowels to the boat and mount. So I don't need 9/16 nut driver or tools to assemble and dissemble. Great idea though. Thanks

Where can we find the boat skin cover? I have the 360 as well but can only find one of the 280 skin cover on ebay. Also is the skin cover worth it in your opinion?

Hi Ron, I have a hi-flow battery operated air pump that plugs into the troll motor. Quick and easy with good pressure.

Thanks for the question. I don't have this rig any longer. I sold it when I moved. The only thing you can't see are the two longer lag bolts going down and used to attach the mount to the raft. The raft has two transom attachment points. Hope that makes sense. Good luck.

Dont know if you check this but I wanted to ask, do you still inflate the foor chambers even though you added a hard floor?

I do. It lockes the floor in place and will keep the boat higher in the water so it has less drag. Plus, if you pop a chamber, better to have some extra floatation... Just my opinion.

oh ok great, thank you. I already made my 1 piece deck, and just got my trolling motor hooked up to a pwm controller, and I had filled the floor with air but didnt like how it pushed the floor up so high so I wasn't going to fill the floor at all. But thanks for the insight, Ill be filling it up and hopefully take it out for its maiden voyage out of Redondo beach, Ca tonight!

@@MrJoeylisto Not sure how it is setup, but you could use pipe insulation to anchor the floor and keep it lower. It does push it up, but, I think it is more stable. You'll have to play with it. Good luck!
