    Hi guys!! My curiosity made me look for travelling videos of foreign people in my own city, as I am a tourist guide in Seville and i want to know what you guys like the most from our city. I agree, Triana is my fave neighbourhood. I have to say that the first week of december is holiday season in Spain (December 6, Constitution Day & December 8, Inmaculada Day), that's why it's crowded. In case anyone reading this lands by plane, the cheapest way to get to the city centre is the EA bus which costs only 3€. Great video btw!!! I love to see how much u guys appreciate my beautiful city!! You'll always be wlcomed back!!

    This is our first time traveling in Spain and we rented a car for a month from Portugal. Drove through Portugal and Southern Spain..Badajoz, Cordoba, Granada, Ronda, Acros de la Frontera, Jerez, Cardiz, and now in Seville. We are still debating whether we need or not need a car. We more tend to not needing a car.. for the reason of less choice of hotel, paying for parking in every place, high gas prices. In most of the places we visited we basically put the car in the parking garage and walk the city like Brian and Carrie.

    Good job guys keep it up. For the Cathedral/Tower and Alcazar you can purchase the tickets online and pick the day and time of your choice that way you don't have to wait in line. (Cathedral ticket includes the visit to the former Cathedral of Sevilla which is Iglesia del Salvador. DO IT IN ADVANCE!!!!!!😄 Transportation: If you arrive to the city by train to Santa Justa Station take a connection (cercanias) train to San Bernardo Station that cost only 2.05 euros and from there catch the Subway to Puerta Jerez stop (this is right in the center of the city) which is like 0.85 cents for a single ride. I hope this help with options. By plane I believe they are currently working on a train connection that goes to the city

    I just got back from Sevilla and Lisbon and you guys are spot on in this video. Cab from the airport is 30 euros. Sevilla transportation is a mystery particularly in the old sections however it is an extremely walkable city. If you're going in the late spring or summer it may not be as conducive. Temps were generally 95-98 when I was there in the afternoon. Behind the cathedral and Alcazar on Constitution Ave there is a tram line but where does it go?? nowhere near any of the tourist spots. I would like to know how you would get to Plaza Espana (particularly from Triana) which is the one tourist spot that is a bit out of the way -- it looks closer on the map than it is from the cathedral and I walked it but some others may find it not walkable. I think a taxi/Uber is the only way. But if you're in the old section it is generally an easy walk around throughout and up to the more modern sections. I also walked to the Macarena section which seemed even older than the old section (Santa Cruz). Also be aware that street signs are absolutely hit or miss (and generally non-existent) in the old sections. GPS worked fine in Sevilla so getting around and finding my way was not an issue. I would also advocate using store markers as a way to figure out a way to get from point A to point B at least for the first couple of days if you don't have a working GPS. All in all it is a wonderful city and I had a great and very memorable time. The first glimpse of the tower is a remarkable sight everyone should experience!

  • @BrianandCarrie

    @BrianandCarrie

    Жыл бұрын

    Great job with an overview of Saville! We completely agree. Where does that tram actually go but back and forth? We walked all over the city but it wasn't 95 and we could. Cabs and Uber are available but the cost can add up. Thank you for adding this to the channel!! Cheers!!!🍻

  • @barrylenihan8032

    @barrylenihan8032

    Seville is very walkable, especially if you want to see the main tourist attractions. Plaza d'Espana is about a 15 minute walk from the Cathedral, or if that is a bit too much, there is also the option of renting bicycles. As regards transport to and from the airport there is also a bus service which is significantly cheaper (€4) than taking a taxi. I would also recommend taking a trip to Italica, which is about 15km from the city centre. Italica probably has the best preserved Roman ruins in all of Spain. And one final comment, avoid from mid-June to mid-September when the temperatures are often higher than 40 degrees Celsius.

Also some Airbnbs offer a pick-up service. Mine picked me up from the major train station for 5 Euro. (But I don't know how far the airport is ...) I think some hotels will also offer pick up service, that's cheaper than taking a taxi.

    *Hey Brian and Carrie ! Good videos. I'm in Malaga and the Sevillans are quite similar in some way cause they're both in Andalucia so I'm curious what are your thoughts on dealing with the people themselves. Did you find them friendly with you as a foreigner or not so much ? In Malaga it is pretty tough to be a foreigner to be fair, even if you speak good spanish.*

  • @BrianandCarrie

    I think Spain has just been overrun by tourists. We didn't find that the locals really went out of the way to be friendly, not that anyone was rude, just not friendly. Compared to where we are now in the Balkans, it is noticeably different. People are friendly, smile, and are genuinely interested in where you are from and how you like their country. So to answer your question, not so much. 🙂 Cheers!!!🍻

    I really like your videos. You get more into walking and taking in the local feel and vibe vs hitting all the touristy highlights which you can find on any good guide. This kind of travel is exactly what my wife and I are planning for next year. I look forward to all your videos since you guys are chill and honest about your experiences. I hope you get to southern France and northern Italy in your travels. I see occasionally some veggie options food wise, but do you also see a fair amount of vegan food options in your travels or not so much? Thank you.

    One correction to make at 3.30. It isn't true that in summertime you'd be dealing with a lot of tourists. Just the opposite-the city empties out. Summer is low season because of the heat (routinely in excess of 40 centigrade), so actually, for low tourist numbers, the best time to go-as long as you don't wilt in the heat!

    Hi, I've been in Malaga 3 days and it was an horrendous experience. People from there were rude with tourist, answering unpolitely some questions about how to arrive to our hotel. Everything was really expensive and there were a lot of noise everywhere. They take advantage of being tourist to sell you expensive experiences, like dinners or tours without any quality. A totally disappointing city, based on taking tourist money. Never again.

    Five days is a perfect amount of time with a day trip added. We really wish we had gone to Cadiz. You can take the train out of Seville and it is about 1.5 hrs. There is also a train to Cordoba that only takes about an hour. The cost was reasonable so we are kicking ourselves for not going to Cadiz. We had family in town so we (my sister) rented a privet tour guide and we went to Rhonda and a couple other small towns along the way. If you have the means that is a really nice way to go. We have no idea how much that cost! My sister insisted so we didn't argue or video any of it. We loved Seville and there is plenty to see. @@franciscojaviergarciadelav6502From the point of view of visiting Andalusia, Malaga and specifically Malaga Airport is the best for connections from all parts of Europe. Malaga is also very well located for day or overnight trips to all the major destinations in the region, being only a two hour drive from Cadiz, Sevilla, Ronda, Cordoba and Granada. Malaga also has a lot to offer tourists with the Alcazaba, Gibralfaro and Theatro Romano within a short walking distance from each other. It also has a lively old town with many bars and restaurants. Malaga has made tremendous strides over the last twenty years in developing tourism facilities, and I would definitely recommend a visit there. Also, if you are there over the Christmas period, it has a spectacular Christmas lights and music show on Called Larios, which rivals anything to be found in Europe.
