Severn Tunnel
Barring the channel tunnel, the Severn Tunnel is easily the longest railway tunnel in the UK. Today we look at the builders continuous battle with the elements and we go further back in time to a young mans dream and how that dream ended up crashing down all around him so close to completion.

Newnham is in the Forest of Dean, in England. The English-Welsh border is the river Wye. Joins the estuary just below Chepstow.
My great grandfather Joseph Talbot worked to Walker company. He was an engineer, and worked for the constrution of this tunnel. (drilling specialist). He worked in Argentine too, extracting stone from uruguay to made Puerto Madero. Good video!

Very informative. Became fascinated with the Severn tunnel while playing Train Simulator where it was featured in great detail in the South Wales Coastal Route. Love from the Philippines.

too many to count to be fair, I know of one railway tunnel near me that buried under the street. I've been trying for years to get permission to see it inside.

Ok
