The matted hair in his paws had to be very painful, yet he is a sweet pup, an unbelievably gentle soul.

I bet that pup slept the best sleep in such a very long time. Probably woke up thinking he was dreaming. Thank you for helping neglected sweet animals. Having all those bugs must have been a terrible torment. What a relief for him to have them treated and removed. Poor baby. Merry Christmas!

Wow, that was one well behaved dog. Whoever gets that dog will be lucky to get such a well tempered dog. I think it felt very good to have the hair shaved off all over.

I HAVE 2 ADORABLE SHIATZU DOGS. SISTERS. they have been with me since pups. I C AN NOT IMAGINE HOW ANYONE CAN ABANDON A DOG OR ANY PET, & JUST WALK AWAY.

It's so unfortunate that these dogs have non shedding coats. Without a guardian, they're always in need of an angel. What a beautiful dog.

Greetings from America! First & foremost a belated congratulations on your marriage. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful day. Such a beautiful couple. I have been following you guys for a while now. My first time reaching out in a comment. This poor dog was suffering in so many ways. The pain from not being groomed. Not being able to scratch, due to flea itch.. he was probably miserable in the summer when it got hot.. carrying around the heavy coat. He did so well while you groomed him. Dogs are so smart. I believe he knew, this was a good thing. On behalf of this dog and all the ones you have groomed & going to groom. Thank you & God bless!

He acts as if he was previously groomed by an owner who cared for him. Maybe he was stolen, or got lost. Thank you for rescuing him. Some rescue sites cause the damage to dogs,cats, puppies...then pretend to rescue the staved and broken animals. You genuinely do rescue homeless animals. He looks healthy as if eating good. Not skinny at all. God bless you from the USA.

Another darling emerging from horror and neglect. Thank god a home is waiting. How rewarding that must be to you lovely newlyweds! One thing that puzzles me is most of these dogs are not starving. I can't understand why. I've shed many tears over your babes. How lucky they are to have made it. Most seem quite young so perhaps the older ones simply couldn't last. Heartbreaking. ❤🇬🇧

Poor dog, he must have been in considerable pain with that matted fur pulling on his skin. He was so good while you worked on him, incredible. What an adorable little fellow! Thank you both for being such a blessing in your caring and giving to these animals that are in such need. May you both be blessed 1000 times over for the good deeds that you do and although these little guys can’t say it you’ve got to know they appreciate it, what a liberating feeling, it must be to have all of that nastiness taken off of them and all of the fleas and mud just being worn down from carrying all of that 1:34:36 around. I only have one question why don’t you ever talk to them it seems that if you talk to them a little bit, they might be more at ease, I mean because neither one of you ever say a thing that we can hear anyway like good boy or nice dog or good little fellow it seems like you might get a little further or encourage them more if you talk to them just saying. But again thank you for your kind and loving way and the good things you do it’s lovely to see people like you caring for animals that are in such great need. 1:34:51

This dog is amazingly well-behaved, particularly during his shearing... poor little pup. Whoever adopts him is one lucky person. (Edit: SO GLAD to see the update at the end!)

Talk about transforming an ugly duckling into a swan! Who would have thought at first glance that such a handsome boy lay underneath all that dirt and matts. Maybe they don't do that in Serbia. But lately Sanja is stroking.the head while the dog is being groomed. Yeah I like the idea of .talking.to the dog being groomed then pet from time to time.

I had noticed how quiet he is compared to some other groomers who chatter all the way through, but that's just his style. They can feel the peace that comes from being freed from that prison of hair.😌

Poor dogs must be in such pain and how can people not be aware of this. They are aware but dont care. shame on them and I think there should be more control of dog owners.... good heavens there is more fuss about owning a car and passing a driving test so people should be more controlled and more care given to these animals. Seeing how thick his hair has covered most his eyes is really sad, the poor dog looks miserable. Thank you to Damjan and Sanja for cleaning him up, he's such a good boy!
