@@ptrcrispy I'm just happy somebody's doing it I think I'd pretty much give up, used to be my best my best assets cuz you can kind of say it to anything and the weirder the looks the better that's what I say you know you're winning when people are mad at you for it... Edit or losing, I did some camera work on a fishing show with some of the tribes, they don't get that one.. which is funny cuz that's also where I learned the majority of AP honors level racial slurs, you know the shit you say when you're being racist or generally bigoted but you keep getting away with because nobody knows what you're talking about well, most people... Best part, family show so they didn't want me to use bleeps... If onlyn I had the motion interpolation tools and other footage processing effects that they have today... Still kind of blows my mind if that's like a normal now,

This new wave of shooters looks promising. People are starting to remember the point of games: F U N

I can't believe this is the first game I've seen that actually shows the player dynamically grabbing a weapon.

I think playing an early access game that's not even officially in early acees for 10 hours is probably a testament to how much potential the game has.

Giving players move movement options is what I have always felt is the future of games.

This looks like the coolest shooter ever in years. I've always wanted the Gun-Fu subgenre to make a return. Incredibly hyped for this one.

@@joebrod *****SPOILER ALERT***** I laughed out loud when they attached DJ's head onto the new body. That was so ridiculously stupid. One of the goofiest moments in gaming history. I could see that happening in a game like Saints Row, but not Wolfenstein.

Holy shit, this game is what i imagined when you mix Cyberpunk 2077 and COD:IW together and make it fast-paced. Love it, will definitely play it asap

I was sold on this in the first eight seconds, that must be some sort of record for a KZread review.

Dude, 4 seconds in, the moment he slomo backflipped behind the guy, i didn't even wait the shot, i was already opening steam and wishlisting it.

This is how I imagined Cyberpunk 2077's combat would feel.. Expectations were way too high.

I mean, from all RPGs with guns and immersive sim games, CP77 has easily the best combat and gun system.. miles better than in any Deus Ex game, Prey (2017) or modern Fallout games

Adding new gameplay elements to a game is probably the hardest thing developers can do. Throwing, catching, and minor parkour elements all in one package is pretty amazing. I know Mirrors Edge is a thing, however, I find it pretty difficult to even call that game a shooter, it's more of a parkour game with first person shooting elements added on top. I also noticed devs have trouble with story, but, I think that all comes to laziness; finding a formula that works and just reusing the shit out of it, *cough*, *cough*, Marvel.

I picked up the Early Access release, and this has to be my GOTY currently. It's just so fun and a total stress reliever.

I'm so glad that someone is making SHWACKED and YA MUM jokes in 2021. Surprised I haven't found you sooner, you're kind of filling the hole in my heart that TB left - someone who reviews games with a critical eye but doesn't take it so fucking seriously.

Found this game a few weeks ago and I'm totally addicted. Most fun shooter I've played in a long time. Its so good and your just a total bad ass and has tons of content and tons of improvements since this review. GManLives you need to revisit this. A lot of stuff you mentioned has been added or fixed.

You'd have to severely strip down the game's mechanics in order to make worth playing in VR. Those crazy flips and aerial tricks are really cool and all, but with the state that VR is in atm, there's no way you'd be able to pull off a VR game with over the top movement like that, and even if you do, you'd most likely get motion sickness real quick.

That and the tactical style door kicking room clearing type of shooters like 6 Days in Faluja, or Ground Branch. There is another one on Steam I forget the name but it reminds me of the old Rainbow 6. Those are really my favorites.

For a game that isn't even on steam yet, this offer way more than most released game. Good to see where this one will go

It’s like a cross between My Friend Pedro and bullet storm. Hell yeah. In my (admittedly amateur) opinion, the reason the slow-mo is good is because it’s also very similar to F.E.A.R in that regard, where instead of just slowing down time,(which yes, you’re right, has absolutely been done to death) it actually makes the slowed time and the things you do in it visually enhanced so as to not rob it of the impact.

You are like the cool Australian uncle who shows me sick az fps games, that I never had.

Instant buy for me when it comes out. Sold me with the first few clips of gameplay.

That wall blaster looks so fun

a bit of a "super hot" feel. the armcannon looks great definitely on my wishlist, thanks for this video

I hope they will create a solid storyline around the gameplay and the protagonist. Definitely want to play this.

Trepang2 seems to be trying to do just that. This one just seems to be quick arcadey FPS sections.

Severed steel kinda looks like a mesh between Gttod (get to the orange door) and trepang 2. Now this is a game I’m getting for SURE!!!

if you like this kind of games check out KARLSON on steam.. still in development by only one guy.. But it sure looks promising ans really cool with a twisted story.

Cool, I was just thinking about getting this today and did a quick video search for reviews and found this review - which even though is old, I feel I can trust the Gman to give a proper account of the mouthfeel for a game like this.

Art style looks like if Super Hot and Deux Ex: Human Revolution had a baby. Good stuff.

Literally the first couple seconds reaction of mine was like "Alright looks similar to SUPERHOT" and then you went upside down and did a slide and my jaw literally dropped...

Looks really cool. Think I would still prefer a more realistic enemy/gore system that looks more like Fear and everything and everyone isn’t highlighted in color. It makes it unique I guess but I personally love realistic grittier looking and feeling gun-fu games. The other thing is I think the bullets in bullet time should maybe move a little slower and look like bullets and not tracerish. But I’ll definitely check this out when it’s released. Another great video Gman!

These maps kind of remind me of the abstractness of Doom maps, where the name doesn't always resemble what the map is like. It still looks like a blast to play. Wishlisting it!

According to Steam Selaco won't be out until August 2255 so it's cool that games like Severed Steel will be around to make the wait easier.

I legit thought this was a VR game with the artstyle and perspective. I'm glad to see it isn't, but I'm sure its not impossible.

Man dual weilding here would have been insane. Btw gggman, try out sword with sauce. The amount of stuff you can pull off in that game makes it THE most badass, most action movie FPS I've played maybe ever

Basically a first person Max Payne game mixed with neon lighting.

FINALLY SOMETHING THAT ISNT A SEQUEL 🙏🏻 this actually looks good

The movement and gunplay has "Double Action : Boogaloo" vibes

it looks like they're doing a kinda voxel deal with the level construction, call me crazy but i think a good direction to go in would be to structure the levels procedurally, either linearly, or spanning from a central point, set a kill or score goal, and fill the map with enough enemies such that hitting 50% more kills/score than required would not be unreasonable. no backtracking, high density, unique experiences, then maybe have an extract point? and the remaining enemies try to get to it before you so they can attempt to keep you from leaving and you have a nice climax at the end, if everyone isn't already dead or you aren't just super fast/lucky

This looks like Bulletstorm meets FEAR with a dash of Titanfall's movement mechanics, and a healthy dose(by that I mean a metric fuckload) of crack mixed in. I fucking love it, just from that footage.

I was so excited then immediately bummed when you said it wasn't out for me to impulse buy when the gameplay reels started.
