Severe Weather expected across the plains today and over the next 3 days as a strong low pressure moves off to the east. A moderate to strong upper-level jet will be brought in from the west helping to increase the damaging wind and large hail threat for the next couple of days. A low-level jet will increase causing the tornado chances to increase as well. A tropical storm as well is expected to make landfall on the east coast of North Carolina Saturday morning and ride up the east coast and bring high rip currents and strong winds and heavy possibly up to 5 inches or higher in localized spots. Another high chance of development as well off the coast of Africa is expected to develop over the next couple of days and head towards the Leeward Islands.
