I can DEFINITELY see the green in the sky on this storm. I hope that you and your family weren't harmed in any way during this storm, Ryan. I've only seen one "green" sky when I was a teen back in Long Island; after getting out of the foster care system. We had a BUNCH of hail and STRONG winds!!! The next day driving around the neighborhood it LOOKED LIKE we'd had a tornado touch down in the area. I mean... there were HUGE trees snapped off and on peoples' houses and blocking the roads!!! But I've yet to actually SEE a tornado. And (at 60 yrs old) I STILL want to see one with my own eyes.
Love listening to the wind chimes~~ Soooo peaceful.☔️

Can't be certain, but 13:50 looks like a classic microburst...since it was so sudden...and it occurred deep inside the storm's core, which tornadoes usually do not.

Ike: dogs usually do know about storms quite a ways in advance of the storm itself. Every dog I have ever had has started acting weird roughly 2 hours before a storm would hit. I think they are picking up thunder well in advance of us.

I was also at Altus AFB in 1982. On May 11, there was a tornado on the base and it tore up some buildings and did some really weird things. Just goes to show you that tornadoes are really mysterious and strange storms. I saw one forming out of the clouds and it scared the shit out of me.

Yes! This is terrifying! The tornado sirens alone make a terrifying cacophony of screams in the sky!! That can be psychologically, too much to deal with for sure! I hope that you've taken good care of your frightened pets who are freaking out at these sounds! Please, comfort yourselves and your beautiful pets, as you would yourselves, during this terrifying time! Take care of your Pets!!!!

Really good footage of this thunderstorm! Thank you very much for sharing this footage!
Awesome !!! That was a severe thunderstorm with high winds, hail and heavy rains. I don't blame you for going inside because it was scary with the high winds. Thunderstorms down there are more severe than New York City. I love thunderstorms especially severe. I filmed many thunderstorms some severe. Thanks for sharing !
Cool video. Great sound from the sirens. Our city just replaced old Thunderbolts for new Whelen Vortex sirens due to backup battery power in case of a power failure.
You folks in the Midwest are tough people! I visited the Midwest last month, and I was concerned about tornadoes the whole time. I am from California, and the earthquakes scare me a lot less!!!

There was once a tornado during school when I was in Pre-K. there was a fire and broken glass in the school so we all had to spend the night in the school. I was crying because I wanted to go home but I went out like a light an hour later after I stopped crying

Awesome video! That gust of wind was sure quite the show. Reminds me of a time a few years ago. I was in a storm and I watched it for a few minutes and suddenly gusts of fog came and we went downstairs.
I know right I used to live in Kansas
That is gonna be one deadly storm and you see lightning and thunder and it warns you that a severe thunderstorm warning has been issued like at 12:09 in the morning and you freak out lol
13:52 gets me every time lol, glad you went into the house.
Omg I would be like the dog. I would be so scared!
I can't help but to cry when I hear your dog yelping in fear in the background. I don't like hearing ANYONE crying. Children, women and animals ESPECIALLY!!! But I can't handle dudes crying either (even though half the time... or MOST of the time we bring that on ourselves). I just HATE to see anyone... or anything suffering or in fear. It breaks me up inside!!!
Thanx 4 sharing ....
I have seen a couple of tornadoes. Luckily forming from afar. The sky was green each time. For me, that’s enough to take cover. Green sky, no siren required!

Haha, WOW I remember watching this when I was about 9. Such a good video.
If you look at the clouds, where you can see the edge drooping down-to-earth that's where the rain is.....
It’s so beautiful 😍
Luv the lightening, H8 the thunder.

Pretty harmonies on the sirens.

Nice lightnings😃👍⚡️⚡️
That strip of clouds around the 5:45 mark looks like the inflow feeder band....it is pointing you right to where the tornado would be...
Impressive. Its interesting how there was intense intracloud lightning but hardly any CGs.
@mm-gl7sz

All the severe storms were like that when I was a kid in WNY. Strong not severe thunderstorms back then seemed more severe than the severe ones. Now even there they either have no lightning (winter storms unless it's lake effect snow then there can be lightning like in a severe thunderstorm depending on how intense the lake snowband is)or lots of CG strikes. Even in long island severe storms have lots of CG
I remember, a few years ago, we had a cock-a-poo (cocker spaniel poodle mix). Every time there was a fire or something like that here in eastern Pennsylvania, the sirens would go off and he would start howling along tight with them. Hilarious! Dogs are funny. Great video!
@hotdogflavouredmilkshake
7 жыл бұрын
Niklas Enblom it's not funny. Dogs are and cats are scared of very loud sounds. That's why the dog in this video was whimpering. It was scared of the sirens. They're also scared of fire trucks.
Fellow weather nut here lol I'm in my 3rd or 4th year as a spotter and am starting to be more a chaser as l learn more about what I'm looking at. When I was little I was in fear of them but the fear turned into a passion . I see your from KS . I'm from the Kansas city,mo metro. Anyway have fun and stay safe.
Yes generally speaking, Storms come from the west. Or a westerly direction. Oh and it’s not like I am trying to discredit the warning pets can give ahead of a disaster, but the sirens were wailing after all.
THUNDERBOLT THE MOST EPIC SIREN KNOWN TO MAN!!!!
like this weather💗
I like thunderstorms. It's a beautiful phenomenon and I especially like it when the NWS issues sever t storm warnings cuz u never know what might happen
All our Thunderbolt sirens have been replaced with new Federal Signal's starting in 2005.
