Severe thunderstorm with a lot of extremely close lightning and extremely loud thunder in México!
In the evening of August 3, 2021, in Michoacán México, a severe thunderstorm formed nearby, producing torrential rain and a numerous amount of lightning in the surrounding towns and hills. As the storm got closer though, so did the lightning. And for a brief moment, we got a taste of the heavy rain. Without a doubt, one of the most intense thunderstorms I have ever experienced and probably the loudest thunder I've ever heard!

awe I moved away from Mexico surprisingly already 3 years ago and I miss how nice the people were there and I also really miss the thunderstorms. Wish I could be there, but I’m coming for a vacation there soon!

I’ve watched a lot of videos of lightning and years of storm spotting In person, and up to this point, the strike in this video around 31:30 is the highest-amped negative Cg I have ever come across.. So far

Storms must hit different down there, not only was that so spectacular, but almost every Cg that even struck was really highly amped, especially for negative CGs

Looks like this thunderstorm is producing strong winds.
Probably lots of CGs. (Cloud to ground lightning) Danger, danger, danger!!

People that are not used to this type of storms will never sleep in the night lol. Sometimes will rain all night.

31:24 it reminds me of the last season 2022 where I had powerful storms in late summer and fall and it was so hellish
