Severe storm spawns multiple tornadoes - Roske family story

Severe weather - with reports of tornadoes on the ground in the lakes region - hit the area late afternoon Wednesday, June 12, and continued into the night.
There were reports of trees down, power lines and power poles down, roads blocked by large fallen trees and property damage. There were reports of boats flipped over, campers overturned and damage to buildings and vehicles. A snowplow was pushing debris off Highway 6. Crow Wing County Sheriff Eric Klang said as of Wednesday night there were reports of minor injuries but no fatalities.
“Just one storm wouldn’t be strong enough to pull that tree out of the ground,” said Luke Roske, age 6 1/2, as he stood in the late afternoon sunshine Wednesday, gesturing toward a felled tree across the lawn near the lake. Luke has an already established interest in weather with books at home noting storms. “At least our cabins didn’t get broken, but the office got broken. … This is the worst thing of my whole entire life.”
“The worst thing? his mom Jessica Roske asked. “Or the most interesting weather thing?” “Yeah,” Luke said, confirming his interest in the weather aspect.
“I wonder if all the fish got scared,” Brynna Roske said.
