So basically Seventeen is divided into 3 teams, which function kinda like sub-units if you may. They are the Hip-hop team, the Performance team and the Vocal team, and each has its own leader. It's common for each team to have its own music on their albums, but it has been a few years since we got different MVs for each team. Since their last album was a special one, celebrating all of their career, after the MV for the title track Maestro they released one MV for each of the 3 teams. Lalali for the Hip-hop team, Spell for the Performance team and Cheer to Youth for the Vocal team. Besides having their members divided into the 3 teams, Seventeen also has "normal sub-units" like other kpop groups, it being Seventeen Leaders (with the leaders of each team, S.Coups, Hoshi and Woozi) and BSS (or Boo Seok Soon, which is kinda a gag trio formed by Seungkwan, DK and Hoshi, with DK as the leader). And just this week they released a new album of their newest sub-unit, JxW, formed by the duo Jeonghan and Wonwoo. If you wanna know exactly how each team is divided, here it goes: Hip-hop: S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon Performance: Hoshi, Jun, The8, Dino Vocal: Woozi, DK, Jeonghan, Joshua, Seungkwan

Seventeen has always had sub units since the beginning. It’s been a while since the units had mv’s. It’s common that each unit has a song on an album. They have three units performance, vocal and hiphop. They each have their own leader. Woozi is the leader of the vocal unit. Hoshi of the performance and Scoups of hiphop and the general leader of SVT. There also have subunits such has SVT leaders(Woozi, Scoups and Hoshi) and BSS(Hoshi, Seungkwan, Dk)
