I agree with that, not all have been added to my playlist, but so far out of all the songs we have heard, I can understand why any of them would be someone's favorite

As a 52 year old Mom of a 14 year old I had to watch an introduction to them before I took her to see them in concert. I am so glad I did it was hilarious and I really learned so much about their personalities. I am now a carat!!!

Call Call Call was their Japanese Debut . An interesting comment explaining backstory of the song which I came across Call Call Call MV is loosely inspired by the famous bike gang wars that happnd in Uk around 60s , it opposed the Mods and the Rockers. The Mods (Scoups' group in MV) rode Vespa or Lambretta scooters and customized the hell out of it , hence the 17 rear view mirrors on Scoups bike and followed fashion and Jazz and were kinda Snobbish The Rockers (Wonwoo's group) were rebels from working class who listened to rock ,wore leather jackets and robe fast bikes. A fight broke out between them at one point and it was widely covered by media. As for Jun's group, it is some sort of timetravelling group??because their vibe is totally different and based on one phone in MV , it'd be from the '80 , so there's that too.

i remember when it came out ppl saying jun's group was based on a fictional biker gang from a specific anime or manga or something. it's been ages though so i can't remember the name lol

I heard the aesthetic of Jun's group was chosen because it's really nostalgic for Japanese people. 1980's futurism was heavily influenced by Japan anyway and they are riding Japanese bikes that were so popular at the time. I saw a Japanese carat commenting that Vernon's cheesy pronunciation of moshi moshi was so reminiscent of foreigners in 80's movies and that he captured the feel perfectly.

i think everyone else has dropped some kind of interesting fact so here's mine: the fanchant for getting closer is one of the hardest in all of kpop 😭 "seemingly happy - watch it be the most depressing lyrics ever" seventeen actually have a song like this called still lonely 😭 it sounds so fresh and fun but the lyrics are so sad... trauma too, actually

Call call call have one of the hardest choreo's am always amazed when i see them perform it live

about a guide- i do hope you watch one eventually because they’re genuinely so hilarious and i their humor really shines through in the clips so watching a guide can actually be fun. if not i think you should just watch a compilation of going seventeen moments because they really are so funny i love their personalities even more than their music (and that’s saying something)

I'd also love to see them reacting to the guide 😊The thing with watching going seventeen compilations is that, some times new fans find it hard to grab the context when watching short clips. So I'd rather ask them to watch going seventeen it self 🤭 But of course they can get to know the boys the way they like, taking their own sweet time 😊

I think most guides are boring and make for boring reactions. Usually after we start getting to know a group, we watch all the MVs then start watching funny edits and clips of them playing around or being funny. Then by that point we usually know most of not all the members

the contrast between Getting Closer and Oh My! lmao seventeen can do it all

I still remember svt performing getting closer at MAMA for the very first time before it's release. It was basically the first time for them to go for a dark concept. And carats were collectively freaking out

i've been waiting for this reaction since oh my is to this day my favorite svt title track! it's just such a feel good song. call call call is up there as well. personally 2018 is one of if not my favorite year for svt releases. i think thanks should be up for your next reaction, which was also a great 2018 release. the choreo for thanks is also beautiful. looking forward to the rest of this series!

Oh My! I really liked all 3 of these, but I think Oh My! Stands out as my favorite out of these 3

i'm been really enjoying your seventeen reactions! i agree with getting to know groups naturally, no one is obligated to watch very long guides lol. getting closer is such a good song, everyone really do be rapping and going hard on the choreo (funny that the song title in korean is "be out of breath"), seventeen really do change up their genre every comeback which is something that i love about them!!

thats funny Be out of breath is the title, it fits very well lol. Im sure we will watch a lot of stuff they do outside of MVs, from what i know they seem fun and funny people

yeah i really agree with what you said in the beginning, i think it's cool to know the group with the songs, and not necessarily through long guides. of course guides are helpful, but it's also very long, so i get it. i also liked svt for 7 yrs but i mostly just listened to their songs at first, and it worked for me. u mentioned that they are getting younger cuz ur watching in reverse order, wait till you see baby seventeen. they look sooo young in early days. 'getting closer' and 'oh my' is b-sides from my favorite svt albums, 'you make my dawn' and 'you make my day'. those series were bangers. anyways, cool video as always, really enjoyed it! :)

Well Getting Closer Korean title is 숨이차 which means out of breath. If the English title is that perhaps, then you would've imagined something quite like the MV. They're depicting their out of breath. Not sure why the English title was titled as Getting Closer. 😆 But I really love Getting Closer. Amazing choreo and song. 🤩

We don't normally do a lot of dance practices on the channel, but I have seen a few of them and I completely agree, they move as 1 sooooo well

You've mentioned watching their dance practices, then how Call call call is exhausting.... It would be cool to react to call call call choreo video!

So far most of the Japanese songs that I've heard by kpop groups have been great, I mean this one is just so much fun and energy If anyone makes it thru a full Seveneen dance then they deserve a lie down after - those are intense. A dance practice might kill someone 😆
