Trauma is such a good song specially vernon's verse always gets me. If you flashback to 2015, I think you could count on one hand the number of celebs in Korea who were of mixed race. Vernon still remains arguably one of the most recognizable mixed race idols in Kpop. He faced bullying while in middle school, dropped out of 8th grade, opted for homeschooling thereby losing the friends he had at school. For a young Vernon, music wasn't just a passion it was a refuge from his loneliness :))

the original version of Lilili Yabbay is CRAZY. like the dance is insane. But performance team really out here to remind everyone they are the all rounders! ( really everyone is, but performance team especially are the best dancers and also all strong at both singing AND rapping) They really slowed it all the way down and flexed vocals

I wasn’t a big fan of Lilly yabbai until I heard this version! A 💎 to treasure

Vocal unit has great songs. Habit, Hug, Don’t Listen in Secret, Same Dream, Same Mind, Same Night, Imperfect Love. They even did a version of Adore U with just the vocal unit that is just straight 🔥. And don’t even get me started on Say Yes, a duet between Seungkwan and DK.

Pinwheel was not really their best choice for this given the fact that the other 2 brought their A-game. I wish they'd done Same Dream, Same Mind, Same Night or even the Adore U vocal ver (which I still love more than the original 🫣)

Trauma is THAT song. It's still one of my favorite hiphop unit songs actually. And thank you so much for appreciating Vernon's flow! His flow has always been my favorite among them personally and if you want to hear more amazing rap from Vernon, I recommend listening to Seventeen's songs like Ash, I Don't Know, Back It Up, Monday to Saturday, Lonely, Lean on Me, Q&A, Fast Pace, or his solo track Lotto (ft. Don Mills) -which he wrote when he was only 16/17 btw.

technicalllyyy they already have the humor unit, BSS (BooSeokSoon, with Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi). speaking of though, if you wanna watch a BSS unit song, their last comeback is called "Fighting." thanks for the reaction to this vid!

this one always makes new carats confused about what really is the "performance unit" because this LILILI YABBAY version is different from the og one, which is a little more upbeat and fast paced and entirely incorporated with dance, but performance unit showcased their amazing vocals and harmonization as if they are one of the vocalists (well, technically, all of them are singers who CAN SING really well). about TRAUMA, brooo yeah i totally agree their rap flows are soooo good! btw, when they were writing this song, mingyu had a hard time participating in it because he doesn't know how to define trauma, basically he didn't have any trauma bc according to him he grew up really loved by his family and didn't experience getting traumatized (that's why he's a person that he is today, a man full of love towards everyone 🥺💖) that explains why he was the one assigned to sing the chorus part of this song. and the rest of the hhu members we're telling their trauma stories, hugs to them. they really went through so much. and now about PINWHEEL, a very good song that always makes me cry especially when i watched them perform this song live in the concert, woozi wrote this song after the dream that he had one time, he said "I was standing under the gloomy sky, on a vast field of green. In the middle of the meadow, there was a little path. And in the middle of that path, there was a single pinwheel standing by itself." he's such a genius he can easily make songs just after dreaming of something, or even just because he was bored 😭

The humour unit literally already exists 😂😂 only seventeen could turn a literal joke into a successful group, it’s BSS, boo seok soon, with DK seungkwan and Hoshi in it.

seventeen is the definition of happiness, they have more songs about comfort, happiness and togetherness unlike other groups that follow trends with lot of crazy beats and stuff. thats why their music is easy to listen and make you happy. i love that from them. sometimes we want to listen music that really simple and brings you warmth and comfort.

His struggle is the fact that he has a hard time coming up with lyrics for their unit songs, and it is required of them to write/edit their unit songs. So, I actually think he was able to talk about his struggle very well - also, the fact that he's singing while everyone else is rapping kind ties it all together 🔥🔥🔥

Tbh, while listening to the mv I felt like he's talking about his trauma of singing, many people said many negative things about his singing so he has some trauma related to him singing whole heartedly, that's why his verse is "I'm in trauma, it's got me singing, stuck in trauma, i want to sing a song". That's why he didn't rap in the entire song, he just sang

mingyu had a hard time writing his verse because he has no trauma.. wonwoo even had to draw the concept of trauma (which later on was used as trauma's teaser, I think) but he still didn't get it so they just decided to give him the chorus 😁
