What I liked about this film was each samurai was individually memorable and likeable for their own reasons.

He made dramas, noirs, fantasy, horror, but Akira Kurosawa was mainly the best action director ever. The best. Seven Samurai is the best example, especially because he never sold action for action, his stories are about loyalty, courage, human beings, human rights and human condition.

Its true! it is a magnificent movie! when I started watching it I could not stop, It's sooo easy to become fully invested in it from the characters, to the story. I'm usually bored with black and white films, but Akira's works are an exception. The weird thing was, that I've already seen 7 samurai, in varius different formats and iterations but I still felt that this was the best.
Without this movie, playstation wouldn't exist :))

Antes no me gustaban las peliculas en blanco y negro en especial las de los años 60 para atras, pero ahora viendo clips pequeños oh resúmenes veo esas películas ya sean de Japón, México oh de cualquier otro pais y digo tremendas obras maestras ❤️💯 imaginense si esas películas tuvieran la tecnologia de ahora junto con esos efectos especiales ufff 🚬🤌🏽

Kurosawa's ultimate masterpiece and the Magnificent Seven with Steve Mc Queen, Yule Brenner, and Charles Bronson was based on it. Not to mention Sergio Leone's string of "Spighetti" westerns starring a little known actor at the time name Clint Eastwood, patterned after the main character in "Yojimbo" . And the ultimate irony is the fact the Kurosawa himself actually based much of his own work on the "American Western" genre.

Honestly, the quality of this movie is unmatched. I believe this is one of the greatest movies ever made.
It's still one of the most (if not the most) influential movies ever made ... Akira was and still is the king of directors.

昔の映画だけど今観ても面白い。仲間がどんどん増えていくワンピース感。 あの有名な三船敏郎がどんな役で出てるかと思ったら菊千代というコミカルな役で意外性もよかった。 数名残してほとんど死ぬというジョジョ感も良かった。
