Yea, kittens are kittens. Pallas's cat kittens are extremely good example - at the age of around 9-12 months old they change their behavior, stop playing and become a proper Pallas's cat - calm and brutal. This change happens really quickly and it's so drastical.

Wombats do a similar thing when they're about 2- they suddenly go from playful & friendly to angry little tanks, & they actually kick their mum out of their territory & take it over, & she has to go find a new territory. 😂 Congrats to Lolo on her beautiful babies! She looks like a great mum. 🥰

Да, с размножением манулов в неволе есть проблемы - высокая смертность среди котят. Надеемся эти котятки будут здоровыми и проживут долгую и счастливую жизнь 😻

@@judew.5872 the main reason is toxoplasmosis (and several other diseases). Pallas's cats are not used to these diseases therefore their immune system can't provide a proper protection. Also worth mentioning that high level of stress weakens their immune system, that is why it's so challenging to heal them - every injection, every med check is a huge stress and pros and cons of this operations should be weighed carefully.

Я этим летом была в Новосибирском зоопарке. Впечатления - незабываемые ! Как в раю. Животным там хорошо, иначе они бы не размножались. Детёныши были у манулов , белых медведей, белых волков. Впечатлений - море ! С любовью из Киргизии.

Wow. I am speechless. SEVEN little lovely furballs. That is very much for a Manul catmom. But Lolo knows what to do and the babies also, they learn every hour. Yes, I think this every time I see these videos. Mother needs a lot of best quality food to keep up with demands of seven nursing cubs on her body! She looks thin, and her coat is a bit scruffy looking. Feed her like a queen!

​@@manthasagittarius1If she was dissatisfied in any way she wouldn't have chosen to have kittens in the first place, Pallas cats are quite fickle about that. She looks thin because they are pretty small and slender in summer and spring since their new coat doesn't look as bulky. And she has random pieces of fur on her because her coat is changing for the season.

​@@manthasagittarius1I worked on taming and rescuing a skinny little stray female. By the time she was almost tamed, she got pregnant. I fed her extra good and as much as she wanted. She looked sleek and fat. Managed to get her and her single baby inside and rescued. As long as she was nursing, she looked thin and her coat was thin too. After her baby was adopted by a friend and I kept mama, she filled out again and her coat became thick and shiny. I called the baby Butterball as he was so fat! Babies take a lot from the mama and with SEVEN kittens, she likely won't look filled out again till they're weaned. BTW, I've still got mama (now called Tuulikki) 14 years later. Our bond and love for each other is strong!

Wow! That is a lot of kittens for mama Lolo to keep track of!! Thanks for bringing their cuteness to us.
