Wish there was a video of him showing how he hit his other irons like his 9-3.
During the shooting of this video he had several shots edited out because he holed them from 7 and 8 iron range. He said he didn't want people to think the video was staged in any way. He was crazy good with his irons.

I remember my father owning this and me watching it many times - back in the day when you had to order a VHS tape through a magazine ad and send a self-addressed, pre-paid envelope to receive it! 😂
The world of golf needs to have a player like him, in his family life, on the golf course and in the game itself. Excellent person and a complete golf player and was a promoter of the game at all levels. Golfer goodbye.
I was fortunate enough to see him twice competing, in the US Open and the PGA. The results you see in this video is EXACTLY what I saw him do in competition, especially his short game. He was at another level of ability from what I witnessed.
Steve was one of those players that you feel privileged to have been able to watch in his prime. The word “magical” is overused but his ability to recover from just about anything really was like magic. Rest In Peace you golf genius.

My golfing buddy calls me Seve...... I never say anything but I love it! .....apparently its because I can't hit a fairway!! Seve transcended his status as an Authentic Golfing genius, he was a truly passionate sportsman and heartbeat of the European Ryder Cup team...watching the dynamic between him and Olazabal would send a tingle through any fan.. RIP the one and only.
He was Michelangelo, Da Vinci and Raphael in a golfers body... savant level golf ability. An artist, a genius and the G.O.A.T. of the short game. Humbling to watch a master at work.
This video is a jewel! What an amazing player, we sorely miss you Seve, one of the greatest of all time
Seve was one of the real greats. Sad that we lost him so soon. This is a simply fantastic short game tutorial that will improve most any players game if they take it to heart and practice.
Wow, his knowledge is vast and organized. Truly a golf genius.
King of Kings, when Seve smiled he lit up the world.

"One of the very BEST Instructional Golf Videos I have ever seen!!! - Thank you*
I got a chance to see "The Great Seve" at the L.A. Open when Tiger was 14. Seve made a shot to, I believe was # ninth at Riviera, about ten feet past the flag and pulled the string back to about a foot!! I'll never forget that shot! To die at the age of 54 is truly sad. So much talent and "Vigor" for the game, gone.
This is the best short games tips i ever seen. Especially when those tips are coming from the maestro himself. Mucho gracias Senior Ballesteros.
One of the best - he will be missed. No golfer has his charisma... RIP in golfheaven... i just love this man
Timeless advice! Seve will always be one of my favorite golfers, great talent, great ambassador of golf.
Maxfli Tour HT Balata was probably the most underrated tour ball in history. It was a phenomenal ball.
This video is pure gold, precious.
My favourite player of all time. Humble, charismatic and wonderfully inventive. To be a good golfer you have to play " in the zone". Seve was fully focused. A brilliant golfer. I miss him greatly. gd
The Late Great Seve, One of two great Spaniards in Golf, showing that the best principles of golf have never and will never change, no matter what kinds of new drills or principles or methods come out. Keep it Simple... Fundamentals
Obviously everything in this video is invaluable for the golfer; but as someone who has struggled to just make a full swing, i have found that Seve's tip on the waggle especially helpful. Seve tells us to relax and it is very notable how he relaxes his right arm and allows the heel pad of his left hand to pull his right arm to the left, when he waggles the club. This helps the right arm to relax and stay more passive in the backswing. One of the best lessons in golf.

Seve has and continue to inspire more golfers with his well thought display of challenging shots in golf. Indeed he was gifted and I thank him for having shared his wisdom before he went to be with the Lord. You are dearly missed. Rest in peace Seve Ballesteros.
This is great to see the master at his best. RIP MY HERO.
Disregard ALL the youtube golfers out there and just watch this video and Jack Nicklaus's instructional video. THAT'S ALL YOU NEED.
This video taught me alot ! I've watched a lot of videos ! but no one explained it like seve! it's on my saved list ! Best instructor for a new schooler !
So far, the best video on the game of golf I have ever seen.
A genious at work and the best ambassador for european golf ever. I have watched him live many times and it was truly amazing. Whenever I struggle with my tempo I watch a Seve video.

My favorite Seve story was from Greg Norman when he said he played with him during a match. He said Seve was wild off the tee and with his long game. He was constantly cussing in Spanish because he missed the fairways and found himself in trouble. But his short game was so goo that Greg said at the end of the round he was signing his card and realized Seve shot a 65. 😂
Seve was the best...
Thank you, this is gold. 😀
So much finesse and technique here,,,,,to the point where most people just could not adjust like he does, to each unique type of shot. The majority have an iron setup...and a drover setup..and probably a bunker setup....but little else.
Gracias Severiano.
@the time I bought this Video it was released in 1990 I still have the video.

golf pro's don't tell all the most important fundamental's I know this'
Nice work, noticed how you seamlessly hit so easy but got so much distance at 86 masters, on incoming green shots with your irons. although they didn't cover you much. Your putt advice at 56min. Has you at a 1 to 1 take away to follow thru but your putt shot you showed us, was 1 back 2 forward. Which is probably better and from what I've been taught seems correct. Or 2 back and 1 thru if you want more backswing and less forward press of follow thru. Did learn a bunch so thank you, hope your still able to play and doing well, always a fan.
Ci like the way he discribes each shot
What a golfer
Everyone who is serious about learning (or continued learning) how to golf should watch this.

Un gran golfista. Qepd don Seve.
thank you so much legend ❤❤
Short game has always been easier to me than the long game, much more feel than strict technique. Perhaps that's because I'm self taught. Consistent 260 yard drives are still on my wish list. Anyone in the same boat as me.

Having a Gap Wedge, 56°, and 60° wedge in my bag now really changed everything for me. I used to dread the short game and shots hunter 100 yards especially 10-30 yard shots. Now
