Ironically, after a series of R-rated musicals like Rent and In the Heights (which is actually more PG-13 but whatever), we at Northwest Shool of the Arts are doing Seussical for our Fall musical

Awhile ago I watched a junior version of this, and this song is the hypest thing ever. I love musicals.
I'm doing this for my school play next year! I really wanna be Cat or Mayzie. So I'm preparing now by learning Oh the Thinks You Can Think and Amazing Mayzie :)

the audition song for the cat is this, at the begging, but you have to be REALLY energetic, and the mazie audition song is the part in amazing mazie where she holds that REALLY long note, in tune. good luck :)

I love this sm. I'm currently playing a who, fish, and circus animal! Not big roles but all fun nonetheless!
I went and saw this yesterday and the cat sounded absolutely amazing!
We have a bunch of options but this song is TOTALLY my go-to for my audition on Monday :D Thanks!! It's so full of energy

In my experience, I’m just on autopilot. But the Cat is mostly improv! Trust me, the audience is clueless! They’ll never find out!

Same here! I am finding out what I got on Wednesday- and I cannot wait! I am being considered for both parts and I can't wait to find out if I got them! I want one of those parts.

I'm doing this play in May, and I almost have this song memorized.
I did this show two years ago my tenth grade year, i played Jojo and was understudy for thing 2, its a great musical!
Casa Manana is holding auditions for this show in March. I, three years ago, had been cast as Jojo in the full version. Only problem is I was a second soprano back in seventh grade. Now I am a baritenor. Crap!

@@cjschance2dance Don’t know if you still need this, but my #1 tip would to be as happy as possible, unless script states otherwise. Always smile and project your voice a lot too.

I was in the chorus too but, everyone who tried out got to be on stage. Even if your not on stage, it's a ton of fun to sing the songs.
