I ran away once too when I want to go to an adventure. I took only a soy milk with me. In the end I cannot open the door so I called my dad. He opened it for me and asked "where are you going?" That's the end of my adventure lol

Seungjae is actually really smart. He can dress himself, and he knows to bring money/a credit card (even if it wasn't real) and a bag. He even knows that he should stay on the side of the road so that he won't get hit by cars. The kid's got skills.

I'm always amazed at Seụngjae's problem solving skill. This time, firstly he tried to kill time by playing with his toy/smashing imaginary insects. Then he tried to substitute his craving with his other fav food: ice cream. He even licked the candy's wrapper, or asked the camera man for snacks and still couldn't fulfil his craving for sweets, finally he headed out to buy snacks using toy credit card and money (he still couldn't distinguish real money yet he went to the outside world to resolve his problem). The other kids will just know to cry, whine or throw a tantrum in this kinda situation, but Seungjae calmly faced his challenge without blaming the situation or his dad for not satisfying his wish. I must say he is one of his kind, a very very bight kid. He could even calmly communicate his emotion with Jiyong by saying I'm angry (high EQ indicator) before finally bursting into tears. I admire Jiyong so much for his parenting skill, he even knew about the mashmallow test and used it on Seungjae. Every parent must watch this show to know how to properly educate their kids, seriously.

I pretty much a "smart" kid when I was three too. I asked my mom for a candy at my brother's school canteen, my mom said no. When we are back at home I climb up a kitchen counter(which is really dangerous) to eat some powdered milk. Then, my babysitter who saw me panicked and put me down. I waited for her to disappear, the I climbed the other side of the kitchen counter to pick some really sweet banana. This time, my mom came in and immediately put me down on the floor and gave me a bottle of milk to satisfy me. I stopped searching for sweets and sleep after a while. My English sucks btw.

It's amazing because Jiyong is an EX-IDOL, and most of the public doesn't associate an idol with a good parent, yet by watching this show he's amazed me time and time again with this exceptional parenting skills and dedication.

@@brittney8010 Because usually when idols have kids the most publicized instances are when they have kids by accident so they rush into marriage at a young age - and obviously since they're young, they're inexperienced and unprepared, but the media covers them anyway. By definition idols are also elevated to a "perfect human" concept so their inexperienced and awkward handling of family comes across as "bad parenting", even though they're just normal first-time parents.

I heard this from a Korean friend of mine I'm not sure if that's the case but they have CCTV all around town so it's actually safe for children to go to school on their own but yes it's still quite dangerous . But I think it's rather safe .

Seungjae is a smart kid he is usually the type of kid the dont cry a lot, this is the first time i see him cry over some snacks he only cries when someone else cry, what a great kid.

I work with kids, and it's fake crying 😂 Or the 'I didn't get my way' cry. Not too upset because they already knew chances were slim it would work 😆 But hoping the crying might persuade the adult, smart little kiddos 😁

That is the most prepared 3 year old I have ever seen. He's very intelligent but still has the stubbornness of a toddler. Seunjae is absolutely adorable ^€^ At least he's at the age when he can learn from right and wrong so Jiyong won some parenting points in this episode for teaching his son about patience

Imagine a barely 3 yo kid perfectly prepare himself with money, card, shoes & bag to go out to buy himself snacks. Even knowing where the shop is! What a brilliant, smart kid! Btw, Seungjae really is not afraid admitting to anything, be it a coward or a fly as long as he gets what he wants lol

Imagine if this scene happens when they're not filming TROS and VJs are not around to tell appa and Jiyong appa is alone with Seungjae and Seungjae leaves house alone when appa in bathroom or upstair?! It means Seungjae will be able to leave house alone. He is so smart, that's why.

I saw two of the TROS dads teach their kids to never go with strangers (the triplets and SeSuDa siblings) to keep them safe from kidnapping so it's safe to say that Korean parents have that fear too. I fear for Jiyong and Seungjae since the kid treats everyone as a friend. No one is a stranger to him and it will only take one stranger who will take advantage of that and put Seungjae in danger.

I'm imagining him in preschool and driving the teachers insane... 😂

Athenathe SheWolf I don't think all korean parents behave the same way as jiyong. many kpop idols have said that their parents used to hit them when they were younger. moreover I think jiyong and the other fathers on tros show more restraint when disciplining because they are being caught on video. if the cameras weren't there, they may have been harsher but jiyong as a person doesn't seem like the kind who would hurt their kid. he is very patient.

no Korean parents are strict as hell I used to get the beating as a child :( but it taught me I guess ... but it really comes down to the person and I think they are not hitting them because of the cameras but my mom had no problem beating me in front of everyone lol

I’m Asian American, and damn, let me just tell you, I get smacked with everything I do wrong 😂 My mom did not have patience with me at all. Maybe it’s the Korean culture. It amazes me how intelligent Seungjae is but it's also pretty concerning. It's lucky that this time the cameramen were there and able to follow him/let Jiyong know, but what if that had happened on a day when they weren't filming? Hopefully Jiyong and his wife can adapt their home/habits as Seungjae gets older and situations like this become more likely. Thankfully Seungjae is also a very sweet and mostly well-behaved child!

it's normal for an active child to do this, my baby brother did this when he was 2-6 it was a big problem cuz he will hear the ice cream truck and would try to run out with his piggy bank. my dad put an extra lock on the second door and it did help but eventually he figured it out and would use a chair. qoq eventually you have to trick or get them to want other things, we got him to tv for himself and let him play games now we just keep fighting on how he should share his tv since we let him play our consoles/games. XD but it always a cute memory to look back too. just really scary at the time it happens

ForeverCellist actually, it's just because they're filming yhay Seungjae can go out like that. Jiyong knows there are a lot of KBS staffs at home coming in and out, so he didn't lock the door. There were also at least four who followed Seungjae & they let the boy out the door. I guess Jiyong also monitored Seungjae in the room & pretended he rushed like he didn't know. This show is partly scripted anyway. The parents gave the children the bait & wait for their reaction. I'm pretty sure if they're not filming he will lock the door.

When he asked for a proof that his hyung became a fly is a very wonderful thing for someone his age bc other kids will believe it instantly. You surprise me everytime, Seungjae.

I can't believe it. A 3 years old kid knows how to wait just for five minutes. Knows where to walk in the street. Knows how to dress and what to bring. And SOME Korean kids don't know how to sing English songs at that very young age. I salute to his parents. And he is so adorable😍😍

It’s not the first time he made it on Facebook, I stopped watching TROS after the triplets left but I saw his video crying when some beggars came to him asking for money and I found it so cute and pure that I decided to watch again!

This is Seungjae before he learns how to say "Let's eat first, I'm low on sugar." 😂 Watching in 2020

I remember getting this video recommended to me by yt and I just got curious so I watched it, little did I know that that will be the start of me loving the whole TROS casts lol.

Putting it a bit bluntly, I think Seungjae's way too smart to lie to. I think it would be better to just explain to him honestly why too much sweets and snacks are bad. Now he's just saying he'll become a fly, lol.

Although it was funny and very smart of sungjae to go by himself but it's also very good that jiyong teaching sungjae to not have anything he wants 😊 Good example so that he won't be spoilt

Seungjae passed the "marshmallow test"! Really didn't need a proof that he'll be successful when he grows up, but being able to delay his gratification, even do things to distract himself- assures me as a new viewer that he'd do well when he gets older (like the result of thae said study by Standford University)

how hard it is to teach young kids the virtual of patience. he did well though.

Being mad at his dad but listened to him ahhh how can this kid be so cute >,

Omg at 12:24 when he started singing he finger song I was smiling so much. My little siblings listen to that song all the time and it brought back memories. You’re so cute Seungjae!

Seungjae is really smart for his age. It's times like these that I get a bit sad because I feel like it would be nice for him to have a sibling to play with. Rohui's dad is always attentive to her and goes over the top to give her attention. Seungjae's dad is practical and raises him well with his mom, but like a previous episode showed, it would benefit him to play with peers.

This adorable kid just make me smile everytime. He is very smart in his own unique way. And Im so proud. In his young age he know how to train his self with his dad. And Im proud. He refer to become a fly just to get a snacks whaaa

Five minutes is along time for a little child and he did amazingly well with his self control. Good Dad to teach him delayed gratification, which many no longer practice. I hope I see more videos of his father & son!

I hope that seungjae wil realize how much he gave his appa hard times ...i feel bad for my parents who were so patient raising me 😢

This had me going through shock, laughing, anxious and admiration. That boy is smart. He brought the "money" and "credit card". That part had me laughing soo hard. Hahahahaha. I can understand what his dad is trying to instill in his son. I think he'll be fine as he gets older. 😁😊

I really like that Jiyong did not give in when Seungjae wanted him to buy those snacks. This is how you not spoil a child! Though Jiyong wasn't affectionate before, he's really an amazing father and much better now 🥺

Oh My Goodness, soooo cute! Kids are the same the world over. Dad is very good with him too! Held his ground, even when it's tempting to give in. Kept the goal in mind of his growing up to be a good man. 😅😍

I was so concerned and scared when he left but then i remember that the camera crew is following him and i was relived. Gosh, i always forget about them i swear.

It’s so important for a child to learn about delayed gratification n patience. So happy that our baby SeungJae passed the test! Even older kids have difficulty passing this test. SeungJae yah, you’ll grow up to be something big for sure!! SeungJae FIGHTING!!! 😘
