Jiyong is really patient but at the same time we have to understand Seungjae's actions. Seungjae is still 3 years old internationally. People, even his dad, sometimes forget about this. To walk far in hungry stomach, even adults may become upset. Then, appa teased him in the beach. It's good that Seungjae is well-behaved enough to apologize and he can be easily persuaded at times.

Michelle Lim In Korea, they add a year or so because everyone is 1 yr. old the moment they're born. He's 4 or 5 in Korean age but internationally he's just 3. :)

If I'm in Seungjae's situation and I'm also a 4 year old, I imagine myself throwing endless tantrums and won't budge to say sorry to my parents after stressing them but here, Seungjae remained quiet despite of the hunger, the heat and the tireness and when his mind cleared up, he remembered to say sorry for what he did earlier. What a great child. 😍

Jiyong is so patient. A lot of parents tend to get annoyed when your kids get angry. Especially seungjae. He's so smart and even the viewers often forget he's only 3 in this. So they think he's spoilt. And expect him to always act mature and understanding. He's just a toddler lol, even I get grumpy when I'm hungry

My guardian who raised me is like Jiyong, she doesn't react to me like what parents should do and she would always make a deal with me so I remain well-behaved, she doesn't hit me often, and won't yell at me if not necessary. I swear everyone has something negative to say about Ko ji-yong, don't try and teach him how to father his own son or correct him, I honestly believe that Ko ji-yong way of managing Seungjae is great as it is, HE'S LEARNING AS A FATHER, trying too see what he needs to do better in handling the situation if it ever occurs again, though Seungjae is also learning from his dad in his type of style of caring for him, but Seungjae needs to learn too, respect your Dad, and try new things,,,like Seungjae will only try new things IF other kids were too or he wants to show off ------ and like you all said he's a very smart child, but he aint smart when it comes to showing love to his father " I hate you " I dont like you" he's lucky enough too have a dad thats willing to spend time with him though for him its not enough but Ko ji-yong is busy but he's ALWAYS willing to make time for his son, never shouting or getting mad at him always feeling guilty for doing things that his son doesn't want, dragging him along this type of things and( pulling pranks sometimes ),,, GIVE HIM CREDIT FOR BRINGING SEUNGJAE TO THIS SHOW, it was not made for any of us to critic him, it was to watch him grow and have a close connection with him ----- I can see they are getting better though some needs working on but Ko ji-yong knows so he's trying to approach in different ways in using different methods Thats all i have to say and this is my opinion : ) if you feel offended than okay but people can say what they like. ect....too much to write about - but you get it....

You have a point there. It's not just Jiyong who's learning on how to handle a gifted child like Seungjae but also us the viewers. We're all learning new things together with the KO family. Jiyong need to understand that his son maybe mature but he's still a kid and he must also prepare food and drinks when they go out together. Seungjae on his part gives his appa a chance first and goes with Jiyong silently, but if it gets too much for him that's when he blows up. Jiyong gets clueless but he speaks to his son calmly and then with subtlety convinces seungjae to go along with him. Its easy to let Seungjae follow him bec he sees the logic in his appa's explanation. I like their interaction bec both of them knows how each other feels and thinks. Communication is very important and I think Jiyong is encouraging his son to speak out more in preparation for when Seungjae becomes a teen. This man has foresight, he doesn't just think of what's now but also he looks toward the future. Both him and his wife are really doing well in raising Seungjae.

even adults carry a bag of snacks and a water bottle when traveling in this sort of weather, especially when having small children. It's beyond me what was the dad thinking and expecting from such a small child. If he was more prepared he could have saved him and the kid all the drama.

Let's just remember that: one, Suengjae-ah is still a baby despite being smart and articulate for his age; and two, he's human and not a robot. Thus, he should be allowed to feel a myriad of emotions such as hangry, tired, etc. How else will he be able to learn? The good thing is that he is able to recognize what he did wrong, i.e. throw tantrums, and apologize for it.
