My list of events is 5 long, but when adding an event to track via my pixel, it only lists 3 events and I can't get the purchase event, any ideas?

@@thedeluxedogco9918 Have ya had some purchase events happen on your pixel? I'd jump into your pixel data and make sure purchases are being triggered/collected

Hi, it won’t allow me to add purchase as my conversion event even though I’ve a purchases this month.

@@theprettygirlsnextdoor2058 The purchases need to be within the last 7 days. I'd recommend downloading Facebooks Pixel Helper (Chrome Extension). Turn off ad block, then go through and do a dummy purchase, make sure the pixel is firing. Wait 30 mins, and you should be good to go.

Hey! I cannot turn on value optimisation as you can, any advice? I have made only 5 sales, purchase pixel is on on my ads.

I followed all the way up until I had to edit event configurations. My pixel only showed View Content as an event. Could you tell me what I did wrong?

Gotcha! Your pixel needs to receive data before it's able to let you choose specific events. For example, if you haven't had a purchase on your website, and that purchase hasn't been recorded inside your pixel, then you won't be able to select purchase as an event. Further - if you haven't run any campaigns targeting 'purchase' and you've only run them for 'view content', the same as above, you won't be able to select them. I'd recommend going through your site and doing a dummy purchase, and making sure your pixel is firing.

Great question 👍 It all depends on whether you have any campaigns or retargeting ads focusing on 'initiate checkout' - personally I don't, so do include IC in my events, but if you do, definitely give it a quick add to your list 😀 otherwise FB will suddenly stop tracking IC, and you'll be like "Facebook, what are you doing"
