It's very historical, 14th century: only the men fight, the women try to keep the business going that their family is assigned to while the men are off in the militia, so production goes down while they are away. Farms need a lot of workers in autumn, so you may want to make sure your militia gets back home and disbanded & back to work by September.

Loving this series! I can tell the dev's like this project, they put so much work into the little things!

You are so relaxing to watch and you stay calm even through the most trying times. So Impressed with your knowledge and logical attitude towards this game. You speed up time at the right moments but you also let us take it in when you slow things down and let us enjoy the scenery. You explain things so well. I've watched a lot of KZreadrs for this game, but you are far more interesting and helpful than others because you do it at the right pace. I wish they were a bit longer though, I could watch you for hours.

so i haven't played this game personally, but i've been watching several different streamers play it, and from what i've seen, it's a game my dad (who's a massive history buff and prefers city builders/strategy war games to any other genre) would head over heels love. one thing i hope they consider for the series is expanding on animal husbandry. particularly i hope they add a pestilence/pest control tree that'll add specifically cats and dogs to the game, with both receiving different perks/debuffs each. for example, if there's a focus on cats, the village would be safe from disease and keep higher amounts of food safe from rats/etc, but you lose influence since cats back then were seen as witches' familiars and therefore evil (which is stupid, but accurate.) however, if you prioritize dogs, you keep you influence as normal, but you'll lose food and be at higher risk from disease/plague, to the point where you could potentially fully lose one of your provinces, but could also potentially use them to buff your armies and/or to help out the farmers/herders. there's also horses and cattle and fishing. yes, i'm aware it's early access; this is just something i hope they consider for future patches.

I got this game on Xbox game pass to try out after watching the first video. I was sooo bad lol half my people died in the raid and I didn’t have a church so there bodies we just on the ground 😅

Saw the 2 vids on this game, booted up my pc after 3yrs of no usage, updated everything and anything for over 2hrs, bought and downloaded the game just to realise my gpu isn't strong enough anymre😢

Yeh it could retain historical accuracy and just not refer to them as ‘husband/wife’ (e.g. the town in the historical setting could think they’re just two friends living together) but it’s only an idea and as I said in the video there’s a lot of development still to be done so I can fully understand it not being implemented even if something like this was planned ☺️

Just remember Paw about your fertile land areas! It seems that you might’ve started building over some fertile area, so just wanted to let you know.

Yeh I mean at the end of the day it’s their game so they can do what they want to do - all I meant is there’s no need to call them ‘husband’ or ‘wife’ they could just find alternate names and then they could have 2 same-sex individuals living together and not need to mention their relationship to one another (especially as there’s no game mechanics related to individuals being related / in relationships in the current version of the game) ☺️

While I know some people will whine about historical accuracy, I really like that you mention having a larger variety of family structures unprompted. Whether or not your suggestion is actually implemented in the game isn’t even a big deal, though it would be fun to see what historically accurate euphemisms the dev could use in place of husband/wife. I’d say your words play more a role in letting people know that this is a safe channel in a subtle way. Though if the dev is taking suggestions, adding a larger variety of skin tones for the avatar would be cool because I noticed a lack of variety in the first video when you were starting the game.

I see what you’re saying but it could easily just not be ‘husband’ or ‘wife’ as there were definitely same-sex couples back then even if they weren’t married / open about it to the town. The devs can 100% take the game in any direction they want and as I said in my video it’s early access so there’s so many things that would have likely been higher on their priority list but it’s just an idea if they wanted to include something like that 😊
