For a 16 yr old console it was way ahead of its time and even today I enjoy playing it. I found my Xbox 360 a couple weeks ago in my attic and I’ve been play red dead redemption one 🤣 best game ever.

I got My Xbox 360 S in 2012 and it's still going strong, I think the thermal paste is long gone now and my console gets pretty hot within an hour or two, might clean the inside of dust and replace the paste.

I had a 360 and i remember playing BO2 and Minecraft with the boys. Once i got the ps4 i gave him to a friend that didn't had any console, it was one of the best choices i've had!!!

I had a 360 for a small amount of time after my first ps3 died. It was different to say the least. These days though, it's nice to see either of them still being appreciated

it takes longer for my xbox 1S to download games off the net...and most games are 40G -100G. My 1T ( 780G) drive is almost full. i only have 4 games loaded...the rest are demos. i use 500G usb for 360. I have hundreds of games for it. I still have over 350G left..becuase most of the games still plays off the disc. The loading speed from disc are about the same. The booting speed are about the same. Half of the games avaliable for xbox1 that I play are just definitive editions..but it's still the same game you can play on 360. I use a 55" flat screen,...sit 6-8 feet back. The graphic are about the same. Not all games are backward compatible. There's games you on 360 you cant get for xbox1 I dont have the series X. i cant geone,..even if I tried. Until then..I'll just have to insert disc into 2 different machines. It's a good thing i still know how to do that .God forbid I get more dumb and lazy :-P

This brought back memories of me and my grandfather fixing all the family 360s back in the day cause the laser in the disc tray would get tweeked and you have to just slightly adjust the screws to re focus it, or the trays magnets going out so it won't want to open and having to refit it hours bent over the work bench I tell ya

I just pulled out my Xbox 360 and PS3. I had them in my trunk for over a year. Had planned on donating them. I was reading on Reddit how the 360 is one of the best Xbox consoles and how the PS3 is still a great console as well. I just hooked them back up and plan on updating them tomorrow. I'm looking forward to playing them again.

That little ding the 360 makes when you turn it on it is so nostalgic to me

I got m first home console (a 360 slim) for Christmas this year and setting it up was possibly one of the happiest moments of my life

to be honest the Xbox 360 controller has a pretty cool detailed power button

Major tip : never set your 360 vertical because Microsoft didn't install a buffer for the disc drive and if the Xbox falls over, instant ring destruction.

Who would knock a 360 over anyway? Besides most games can be installed to a hard drive which at that point you only need the disc to read license to play. After that the disc is not used anymore and not spinning as the hard drive is where game being read from.

Now is the time to get into 7th gen systems like the 360, the games are at an all time low price and a good portion of the library still works online

I just bought and setup an xbox 360 for the first time myself in this year 2021. I have been a PC gamer for many years and always went with Playstation and Nintendo to a fault leaving out many years of quality xbox products to give a go. Now I can check them out and not pay too much for the goodies. One push for me was finding a Fanatec Porsche GT2 for $25 that works on my PC, but can also connect wireless to an xbox. I had some fun with it on PC but decided I could build a little race simulator pretty easy with an xbox setup. Just getting it set up today and had a little fun. Cheers!

I had to sell off the gaming pc due to financial reasons but wanted some thing basic for gaming…got a 360 elite for £50 and Skyrim legendary edition for £4. Very happy. Surprisingly graphics aren’t so bad. Nostalgia

So much nostalgia I miss these days so much especially 2009 and 2012

I got Xbox 360 from my friend with like few games cause he recently bought Xbox one and didn't need his old 360, so far i enjoy it sm its total blast I'm trying to complete GTA V and I have with few games i have like: Borderlands 2, Fable anniversary, Fifa 14 and The sims 3, so 360 is totally worth it even in 2023 and I'm enjoying it as its my first console ever!!

maaan I still have my xbox 360 with me since 2014, even tho It's almost 2024 still being the best consoles after PS2 for me. had some great time with GTA and minecraft. still brings me back memories when I used to play with my friends but they moved to the new gen xd

I just bought one Xbox360 (2008) second handed last night for RM400 just to play GTA5. Always played joyride over friends place and never had a good grip at it. Now its all mine.

ah yes the 360. i remember when i booted up my 360 and saw my Avatar wave so i went to the social tab as fast as possible just to see it run to the social tab. and after that i put in gta iv disc into the console and played with its euphoria physics. it was super fun. my dad even asked me why i was laughing and being sooo happy i told him that i love the physics of the game, good times... good times...

best thing about x360 now is that the games are like around 4-5$ and most of them are playable online like plants vs zombies gw 1 and cod mw 3. There are still people playing it.

I'm getting one for kid's day to play old games like Rayman Origins and PVZ on it (In Poland, on June 1st we have kid's day/children's day where we can get something such as a console, game or something else. I'm very excited)

I love the old battery compartment

I also have the matte black Xbox 360 S model and it's my main 360 I use. I also have a white fat Jasper chipset model which is the most reliable of the fats. Also have a Xbox 360 E model I found for $15 at Goodwill with a 250gb hard drive inside. As for GTAV I actually played it on PS3 first at release and then again on PS4. Sold those copies only to buy the Xbox One version to play on my Xbox One X. After that I found a good condition complete copy of the 360 version at Goodwill for $2.99 and tax. Both those I haven't played through yet so definitely about to play the 360 version tonight. I am playing on my 360 E model though since both are what I got at goodwill. I know the Xbox One version would be better but I feel best to play in order they released so 360 version first then the Xbox One version a few months later.

Still got mines! 10 years and still solid.
