Even though I don't fully agree with the setup mainly because of the artificial decorations I still like the way you described everything. You mentioned a lot of important points like cycling, getting the right heater and so on, so thank you for the inspiration. :)

Had a like a red/violet betafish when I was little, he lived for 5yrs, still remember how much I loved him haha 🥺 // fan from Sweden (follow all of your channels and am obssessed, I have tons of pets at home as well so this channel is really my type haha)

I got so excited when you started talking about snails! I have a blue mystery snail and a few land snails currently. I love them 🐌❤️

Corydoras are super cute Betta tank mates! They're so much fun to watch and with the cories at the bottom and Betta at the top of the tank it keeps both sections of the tank active. :)

I'm setting up a new 20 gallon tank as well! I currently have a 40 gallon and a 10 gallon. I love watching your videos, they're so calming lol :)

Betta fish actually like a low light so the light coming with the aquarium looks perfect!

aaaaa i'm actually getting my first ever pet snail in june!! im so excited!!! ive never really been that interested in terrariums but ive always wanted a snail

I have a 5 gallon tank with a Betta and 2 snails in it. I have a 10 gallon I want to eventually set up for a full real planted tank but I can’t in the apartment I have right now. The snails are great as tank mates cause they also clean the tank for you. My betta likes to chase them around the tank or when they are not doing much he likes to flare at them but he does not harm them in anyway

Love the tank set up, it looks awesome :) I've been keeping betta fish for a few years now and have never had much luck with mystery snails, but I know plenty of other people have. I've had shrimp with my betta fish and I think they are a good tank mate because they stay out of the bettas way. Just my personal opinion! Can't wait to see what you decide to get!!

You should get a white beta fish. It would make the tank look soo much more beautiful and vibrant.

That sucks the original tank you bought was incomplete. But now you have a bigger one for all your cool decor!

Be careful on the decoration because stuff too sharp and bumpy and cut their fins. Nothing in the setup looks horrible, but I would be cautious of some of those things.

Love your tank setup. I too have my two tanks in my kitchen. My babies are very happy. Try getting a calico Plakat. You would have a betta with blue fins, well as patches of red and black on white. 🐟

if budget allows I would go for a platinum or white betta in there I think it would go really nice in that tank! also maybe a female koi would be stunning! but at the end of the day, every betta is beautiful! though i would recommend a shortfin as they tend to live longer and are bred better

Man, this really makes me miss my betta, Winston. He passed away earlier this year. He was the calmest little thing, to the point he actually lived with a small group of guppies. He had a log that he'd sleep inside of, and every morning he'd kiss the tank when I woke up

Long finned koi betta 😍🖤 if I were you I would add the friends in first and then the betta, just to ensure the betta won’t get angry and territorial but I’ve also done it the other way and it went well lol. We have a HUGE mystery snail named Gary and my betta loves him, but I have seen videos where their betta constantly attacked the big snails tenticals lol

I feel like a super bright red or blue fish would look great and very fantasy! Or maybe (and i know these arent as common) a white betta fish! I feel like that would look stunning compared to all the bright colors of the tank!

My betta lives very peacefully with a school of rummy-nose tetras :3 if you like blue have a look at a mustard gas or a blue edge, they're very striking!

hi!a little recommendation.maybe add some soil and plant some real plants and add some substrate or sand and rocks and like driftwood to add the natural feeling!but live it

Blood red beta fish would look awesome

My personal favorites are the alien bettas they're a hybrid and so beautiful, you could also do a sorority in a 20 if you added more plants, as for tank mates shrimp, Cory cats, Ottos, rasboras, ember tetras, danios all tend to do well with bettas

@@marytwinflamessoulfamunite7102 my one sorority is in the 29gal top fin essentials kit and it's worked really well for me I have low light plants so I just kept the leds that came with the tank and I have the fluval stratum for my substrate you just have to be careful with that cause it lowers pH but some natural rock can balance it out

@@sharongrey6920 thank you so much this is really helpful and I didn't realize the Fluval Stratum Substrate lowered the PH I've been looking into that Substrate and Seachem Flourite and Carib Sea Eco Complete for substrates Fluval Stratum is a bit to expensive for me when it comes to having enough to fill a couple 20 Gallon Tanks and at least 1 10 Gallon Tank I plan on having a guppy tank as well the 10 Gallon is mainly going to be for Fry or for a Hospital/ Quarantine Tank haven't decided exactly what I'm doing with the 10 Gallon yet

Fish For Thought put his betta in with some shrimp and she murdered them all, so that might not be the best option. 😅 Generally it seems like it depends on the personality of the individual betta and it's better to not risk putting one in with anything but snails (they just don't like, need or want other tank mates). Also I'm just imagining him shuddering over the artificial decor 😂 but it looks so pretty, and I think it will look even better once the plants grow out more. 😊

I’ve been struggling to cycle my tank because I’ve been wanting to get an axolotl and I’ve been at it for months I’ve even called up local pet stores and fish stores for help and they’ve told me all the same information I’ve looked up online and I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong so some help would be appreciated!

Such a shame your flex tank didn’t come with all their components, it’s truly an amazing tank with awesome lights and top notch filtration. I would definitely contact fluval to try to buy those parts separately if possible. Way better lights and way better filtration system than the top fin tank.

Something I noticed when returning defective fixtures to Home Depot, was that they are all too willing to put incomplete products back on the shelf for someone else to get stuck with. I gross them out about this and try to make sure they are returned to the manufacturer, but I'm sure they end up on the shelf, so I put a note inside addressed to "The next buyer!"

That really sucks they didn't send all of the stuff with the Fluval flex. I have the 15-gallon version and the light is really nice! I've had it set up with fish and plants for over 3 years now! I'm excited about your 20-gallon tho!

I named my betta fish Azul Is Blue in spanish and that’s what I name it. And My other is Freya And that means strawberry in spanish

Blues teals and Red and blue I'd look into a Female Sorority tank you can have upto 5 Females and that's the minumum recommended number for a Betta Sorority I'd definitely recommend doing more research I person really love Veil talls crown tails and the halfmoon tailed bettas

be careful with tankmates for betta. assess the temperament of your fish. one of my bettas was totally fine with snails and shrimp, but one of mine is so aggressive i cant even walk past the tank without him flipping his gills out. good luck!

Please look a getting a short finned koi betta fish. First off, the reason to get a short tail is because the way they are breeding know long tail live a lot shorter and the tail makes it very hard for them to swim. I absolutely love koi betta fish and I think that it would look amazing in your tank they are also called galaxy betta fish. I really think you would love the way it would look in your tank and would add to the magical feeling. I really hope you look into my advice. But, of course I will love your videos eny way and it is your choice.

@@mrsfulkerson8537 you can never put more than one betta together in a tank under 40 gallons. With 40+ gallons you can have 5-6 FEMALE bettas. Otherwise they'll kill each other. You could get different fish as tank mates, but please make sure you research beforehand. I recommend joining the betta fish subreddit. There are lots of experienced betta fish keepers on there.

actually betta fish go with a lot of other fish and will get along with many tank mates like shrimp, loaches and many others.

ive found that it really just depends on each individual fish. one of bettas in the past was super chill and i had shrimp and a snail with him no problem. but my current betta is so aggressive that every time he sees me he flips his gills out.
