Is it possible to bait the snails to another location just before feeding the mandarin.

Hi - I only run filter sponges, bio balls, and carbon in my Nuvo 16 :) Hope that helps

Has peanut or any of the snails ever gone up the tube tube to Intercept the food as it floats downward ?

The snails have but not peanut :) It's important to keep the tube fully submerged so if something goes in they can at least come out from the other end

Good choice! Mine has grown a lot! I got mine last December 2020 and she's probably doubled the size now 😁 She eats like a pig

@@BlueReefTank Thank you for the reply. I am feeding baby brine and copepods. I find the female I have is quite skittish and gets stressed/hides as soon as I come close to the tank. Its only been one week, hope this behaviour diminishes soon to start to try frozen on her.

@@alfredorios4416 Mine is still a bit shy to this day 😊 Just give her some time and she'll be fine. As long as she's eating well. My mandarin now waits in front of the feeding tube whenever I turn off the pump because she knows big juicy brine is going to come down from that tube 🤣

This one is a 16 gallon tank :) It's around 60cm x 45cm x 40cm if I am not mistaken

Hi Kathy, it's actually not that hard as long as your tank is cycled and your water parameter is good. I would start with soft corals like leather coral or zoanthids as they're much hardier than say LPS or SPS 😊

She's a captive-bred mandarin so she's already trained to eat frozen 🙂

If you're referring to the feeding station, it's called "glass feeding tube". It's actually designed for freshwater shrimp but I used it for my mandarin 😅
