I'm currently a student for a surgical tech course in the Army and they taught us not have any part of our body hover over the sterile field because of microbial contamination. Is it different in the civilian side? You opened a peel pack right over.

Shane, I gotta say thank you for making all these videos really breaking down what techs and other medical staff go through on a day to day basis. I honestly don't see myself in the medical field, but I still find medical topics and procedures fascinating. You seem like a very nice guy all around and someone I would for sure want to work with (if I were in medical). Keep up the great videos! Subbed. :)

Thank you for your videos. I'm over 70 now. I have had no operations at all before 2017. In 2017 and the first month of 2018 I had to have a total of 7 operations , mostly with general anesthesia. I have been curious to learn what was going on when I was unable to see and learn because of the anesthesia. Now you show me all that was happening around me when I was being operated on. That's a great deal.

I have recently been watching ALOT of basic set up and sterile technique videos and hands DOWN, these videos are not only very informative but its also his cool disposition and ability to communicate this so awesomely! I am looking to use my surgical Technology Degree 4 years post grad, never have worked in an OR and want to try to reenter the field and it's very scary. As we know, as students these basic fundamentals are pushed in your brain but with a job where you have so many responsibilities and skills needed to know and remember it's overwhelming but with his help, I know and remember more than I had thought. Props for giving me back my confidence! You rule!!

You may not realize it or know it, but these videos are super helpful for us lay folks who don't get to observe all that goes on in the operating room. Even more beneficial is the fact that I'm totally blind, and I really appreciate how well you describe everything. I've been blind since birth, so it's no problem for me, but when people tell me that I don't need to know all these facts and such, that really bothers me. I understand that there are things that are better unseen, but when it comes to life saving surgeries and procedures, I think that spiritual vision is a absolute must! Keep up what you're doing, and thank you for all these videos. I'm still listening up for the anesthesiology machine. (Yes, I hear what I'm typing right now, and I use text-to-speech software called JAWS that reads all unimbedded text onscreen. Any depicted text inside a video is off limits, but Vispero is working very hard on developing more technology that'll hopefully make it possible to know more about pictures. Emojis are great, and some of them are downright hillarious! (winking face)

Unbelievable but true !!!

When I have students I always tell them KPRC, at Houston tx; it is known as channel 2 news, a lot of ppl know the channel. So what I tell them K stands for Knife( most of the time, ) after making an incision, I ask my students what happens when you cut yourself... you bleed. So I tell them usually they Drs use the bovie with Pickups. Which is P, afterwards after dissecting down they may need Retractors, which is R, keep going down might be a bleeder, or something they need to suture or something they need to cut or Clamp, which is C, C stands for all the instruments on the stringer ( from mosquitos to the large needle holder and scissors) it also helps to teach what kind of instrumentation needed for different cases. I get previous students tell me they use KPRC on cases they don't know much about but it helps to know what to expect. (seems like they know the body) That's why I am always hard on students on anatomy because you have to know "where" they are operating on so they can be better prepared._

First thing you do before picking up any sterilized instrument sets or consignments is to make sure that the indicator is visible on top and that it met the sterilization process. Filters and checking hole in wraps are secondary.

Amazing videos, thanks so much for posting them, I just wish I'd found these when I was struggling with my new job in the hospital, these would have helped immensely, but I'm revising, revising and not giving up because I'm going to try again one day, I really wish their would be a series with your videos on Netflix, would be great. Thank you, be safe. :.)

My heart is filled with gratitude as I'm sharing my testimony to the entire universe on how herbal doctor oduntun cured me from diabetes I suffered it right from my adolescent stage for years I often see symptoms in my private area nd lips, anytime I use acyclovir drugs it will go away then return some months later. it was disheartening since i have been diagnosed but after finding herbalist oduntun and his reviews on instagram @herbalist_oduntun i was convinced that he meant be of great help to me so I contacted him to know more about his herbal products and how I can get it delivered to me here in Tajikistan, He then said that he will deliver the herbal package to me through the ups delivery service with the address I will provide that is after preparing the medication with the roots and herbs ingredients he will purchase from the traditional market, so I keep faith believing that I can be cured completely with what comes from nature since it herbal medicine i took the risk and pay him the amount he requested to get the ingredients he started preparation as soon as I send him the money and submit my home address for the delivery today I'm so happy sharing this to the world 🌍 I'm Isabella From Tajikistan (Centre Asia ) for more information on how to get in touch with herbal doctor oduntun you can reach him on What'sApp:+2349039463501 or his(email:herbalistoduntun@gmail.com) I'm a living testimony stay safe and stay bless🙏🏼
