Setting the Resun AF2009D Auto Fish Feeder Timer

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

This Resun automatic fish feeder seems to be very popular item available online but the manual was a little cryptic (at least for my Dad and myself). So you might benefit from a plain speaking Aussie with a run through of how to setup the timer.
The main points are :-
1. If the colon ":" is flashing you are in the CLOCK mode. Use Set to start the adjustment process and then Adjust to change the digits and Mode to go between Hours and Minutes. Press Set to save the setting, of course!
2. From CLOCK mode (with the flashing colon) you then press Mode to change to the 4 different timers, and back to CLOCK mode.
3. In any of the timer modes, the press Set to start adjustment. As per the CLOCK mode, press Adjust to change Hours, Mode to go to Minutes and use Adjust again, and then Mode again where you press Adjust to choose, 1 or 2 or no rotations at the chosen time. Press Set to save the settings.

Super helpful video. I bought one a year ago for a holiday feeder, and I prefer to feed my fish by hand so it's been in the cupboard for a year. Now I went to set it up again for my next holiday and it wouldn't work! I forgot about pressing mode again to set the rotations. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't spinning. Thanks to you I got it. My only suggestion is pretend it's 1pm in the video so that it doesn't take as long to get to 21 just to show us how it works. Thanks again!

Thank you! It's really easy to set it out of the box, but what got me was the "arrow" thingy - I did not notice it when I was setting the feeding times for the first time. Now I can leave for holidays! Although...remember guys - hungry fish is a healthy fish. Fish will not die without feeding for almost 3 weeks, so going for holiday for one week is not going to harm them. I'd be more worried about the water parameters while I am gone...

Thank you sir. I didn't know about the arrows. My Resun feeder was about to be introduced to an AR15 at 100 yards/91.44 meters. You pardoned the feeder with this video.

Great video. The instructions that come with the device are useless. They tell you how to set everything but never bother to tell you what each thing does.

If set per the instructions it should work at the same time everyday - you can configure up to 4 times per day. (To be honest I don't own this fish feeder, it was my father's, but it is designed exactly for that purpose)

Way too hard to program. If you are skilled at memorizing long, unintuitive sequences of button pushes, this will be a piece of cake. Otherwise, you will be almost everyone who purchased a VCR and was never able to set the current time on it. The VCR was the canonical example of a high tech device whose user interface was unintelligible because the people who designed it had no interest in making it easy to use. There are still plenty of software applications on the market that suffer from the same inadequacy.
