I got to see Beardyman perform in Chicago once. It was incredible. Harry Mac is a match made in heaven for Beardyman. They are such a good duo.

Not to be a jerk but I think it's just 4/4 time with triplets. You could say it is 6/8 but then it wouldn't be triplets just 8th notes

​@@MegaJufy gonna give Harry a Pass here cause he was freestyling; the base note beat is 4 per measure and you can feel it over HMacks triplets on that particular scheme; Just listen back and count "1,2,3, 4" and on each quarter are sub divided into 3 beats, the triplets. The downbeats for the next measure are in groups of 4 so its either a 6/8 that's couched in a 4/4 scheme, (so no triplets) or its just triplets over 4/4. Cannot be 3/4.

also beardy's looping vocal harmonies at that point (dah, dah, dah) are actually quarter note triplets over steady quarter note under beat (the "1,2,3,4" you feel under all of it).

I've watched all these videos multiple times and I thought Harry was intently concentrating on his freestyle, but now I realise he's intently watching what Beardy is doing. Whether to try and pre-empt where the beat is going, or just from professional interest doesn't matter; it seems he's spitting these insane bars as an afterthought while he watches another genius at work. What legends.

What blows me away about this one is, when Harry is with someone like Beardy and Marc Rebillet, he backs off while they build a beat. In this one though, he is on top of every beat switch as it happens. It's amazing to see what two geniuses can do together, and I am willing to spend more money than I can probably afford to see this in concert, and it would be worth every penny.

You're both such masters of music you can read each other and bounce off one another. At 02:50, he reads you, then you match his flow. So sick to see you influence each other live. Literally mind blowing

I'm really glad he took the time to distinguish what he does from a DJ. There are DJ's that are ridiculously great at what they do. And he is ridiculously great at what he does but they are not the same thing. I wonder if he has collaborated with an actual DJ before. I would love to see him with a great DJ like a Jazzy Jeff. It would be crazy to see what they could come up with together.
