There could be a lot of reasons but I am really sorry that I cannot be certain. It could be that the tide table that you are referring too is inaccurate.

Location is everything! There are 3 different types of tides! The most common is diurnal (1 hi and 1 lo every day ~ appx 1 every 12hrs). A Semi-diurnal tide (2 hi 's and 2 lo's every day ~ appx 1 every 6hrs) . The 3rd type is a combination of both! I do not for for certain, but I believe the Casio Glide can only predict Diurnal (12 hr) tides! This may be your problem. The Gulf of Mexico in the southern USA has both diurnal and semi-dirurnal tides! @@GFWatch

On Casio instruction No.3151 at the back you have lunitidal interval data list for each country in alphabetical order… both longitude and lunitidal interval for example for London longitude is 0E and Lunitidal interval 1:10 thank you

One question: why is it calculated at full or new moon? As I know the lunitidal interval is the lag (time difference) between Moon's noon (culmination) and the next high tide.

I'm not really sure why. It could either be something wrong with the tide data or some calculation error inside the watch 😅

@@GFWatch it could be that i had my UTC settings wrong it was +8 but it should be +1. I corrected it and the tide seems to be more accurate now.

The main thing is the solar power. The moon phase and tide graph are fun but not much use to me 😄

agree about tide graph, but it sure it candy to the eye 😅 with combo 3 character day than two.. i wonder why casio reduce day just two character, it really look like f91 with steroid.. hehe.. sure the solar was quite usefull.. if the price gap was wide, will blindly choose non solar model, but with same price make it so complicated to choose 😅 thanks for the reply.. looks like will order the 5600e, for the price feature ratio.. in this case the price between two was in the same range

Great video. Hard to find step by step for this feature. Does anyone know how to interpret the accuracy of the tide graph? Or to be specific, how it decides when to shift to the next 'segment' - low/mid/high...etc. and how to interpret that to get as close to accurate estimate of high tide?

I think the graph just provides a reference and I don't think it will be really accurate. If your life depends on the tide data, it would be best to refer to official sources, you know something like from the meteorology department.

I followed these instructions exactly and the tide is still wrong on my watch. It is off by several hours. I've had this watch for 10 years and still can't get it to work right.

Read the operational guide please. When you press button A twice in adjust mode it will exit from adjust mode, and it will back to the main screen (time keeping mode). In adjust mode, just press button A once for tide graph mode.

That website doesn't cover the UK. An Island. Amazing

I tried searching for the highest tide in my location but it was not listed. Then I remembered in staying in Kuala Lumpur so there’s so sea around me hence no tide. Biggest joke of my life and not to mention, my watch is completely useless since I don’t go fishing
