    Challenge idea: blindfolded and guided. Put a blindfold on, and get one of your climbing buddies to guide you up, telling you where your next hold is. Would probably have to do something normally less challenging to be safe, but it could be a fun game of who can guide who up a route quickest.

    This is a really fun concept!! Definitely wanna see you complete this problem in the next video too. Also maybe try this rule: If someone sets a hold and the other person can climb to the highest hold without using it then they can remove it. Gets rid of too many intermediate holds. Nice one Magnus and Pete!

  • @deshelledturtle355
    @deshelledturtle3552 жыл бұрын

    you could add a rule so that each person only gets a certain number of intermediate moves (like 1 or 2), that way you don't just completely ignore what each other sets and just set intermediate moves to by-pass hard parts.

    Definitely love that idea! A few suggestions Magnus: 1) Rule 1) You are only allowed to put a hold higher than the last one that was set 2) Maybe a double ticket, meaning that you can set up two boulders once per session 3) Trying this on a climbing wall that you have much more way to go 4) All holds have to be used while climbing 5) The setter sets also the move Just some ideas to spice that up

    Years ago we played something similar on the spray wall. We called it 2+2 an you were allowed to define the next two holds, BUT there was the extra rule, that you had to be able to hold on to the second hold you define for like two or three seconds without touching any other hold (like a top). (The rules for the foothold varied.) If you are playing it the way I described it, you are forced to set moves, that you are really able to do, but since you are allowed to define the next TWO holds, you can still set really difficult stuff or dynamic stuff or so on.

    Received your signed book yesterday, just in time for my night shift. Perfect timing. Looking forward to it so much.

    That's a great bromance between you two, as cool to see as the one between Romain Desgranges and Johan Kervella from the french Epic TV - Relais Vertical :) So great to see you two climbing and challenging each other, pushing each other in your best without any toxic / competitive spirit :)

    I love your videos, and I was wondering if I’m your next climbing video where you make a routes if you could give some tips on how to set good routes. I work at a wall and we have limited room so any tips I can use are very helpful! Keep up the great work.
