I'm really happy to see a new video around here. This setting out series you're are doing is one of the best about the subject on youtube. I'm a mining engineer working in construction industry and you're helping me a lot! Thanks for all the precious information! Greetings from Brazil!

Brilliant videos on the use of the robotic instrument. I`ve been setting out for over 40 years, but never been able to get my hands on a robotic, ( I`m "old school" ). Everyone I meet says they are so easy! Keep up the good work

Thanks John! Robotics are good and can make your life easy in many cases. I bet sooner or later you'll have a chance to check it yourself. btw I really like 'old school' :) and I think everyone should know how to work well without robotic.

Great video. I've subscribed and liked! Did you every upload the video showing the results in CAD? Its been I while since I viewed results in CAD. Do you know if its possible to create lines between stored points so when you open the CAD file you would have measured points linked with lines. i.e. if you were surveying the external foot print of a building or a boundary?

Thanks Mr Mechanical!!! I typically do it later on CAD, but you can create lines on your controller and copy to the computer like that.

Hello Greg, Thank you for setting up this video which is exactly what I want to do myself and sooner it will be a reality. I want to know how did you get the level and the coordinate, (location) of the target far away on the building in the beginning of the video. Your TS15 had to be fixed on the existing station on the floor from where you was broadcasting for the video. Did you aim with a W.C.B. bearing towards the target on the building? That is how you got the level of 50.500 on the Controller plus the coordinate with it. Another thing which puzzled me was WHY did you not store the value instead of just measuring the distance? Then you aimed at the new cross, with your fine automatic pencil, to draw another floor station and recorded the new value of the station by firing the laser onto it. Please confirm that this is what had happened at the beginning of the video otherwise explain as to how did you get the level and the coordinate of the far building onto the Controller on the first aim? This was not clear in this video but everything else was fine as you showed the mechanics of how to take the coordinate and the surveying technique with the famous Leica TS15. Look forward to your reply.

Hi Asim, I have to watch it as I can't remember now :) I'll watch tomorrow and let you know, but normally I take everything from targets.
