Setting off a modulator! Federal Signal Modulator 4016 Manual Test - Lexington, KY (Fayette County)
Ойындар
*DO NOT attempt to set off sirens without permission! This was done under supervision with an official tech and with the EMA.*
For obtaining permission to use my clips in your videos, please check my about page.
I got the opportunity to go over to the University of Kentucky's stadium area and set off the siren that they have there! We might've caused quite the alarm to people around... these sirens normally sound Westminster Chimes with some barely distinguishable voice.
This test consisted of a short alert blast, some PA, and a silent test with an FSK poll.
Fayette county sirens test on the first Wednesday of every month at 10:00 AM Eastern time.
I did learn quite a bit about how the sirens here work, feel free to ask about our system in the comments and I will try and answer them to the best of my ability.

Hearing all the relays click on the amplifiers after flipping the switch just sounds so satisfying.
Man I love Modulators. Awesome vid!
When using the P.A function you need to adjust the MIC gain knob to prevent feedback You also need to ask if you could set it to dual tone (Switch amps 3 and 4 to tone B)
Lucky!
Cool
I thought Lexington only does Winchester chimes and voice

They have regular Ultravoices, so they can do any tone that an Ultravoice can do. They only use alert for tornadoes and wail for other emergencies.
Where is this
