Setting Goals as a DJ: You're Doing It All Wrong
Музыка
In this week's episode, we are delighted to announce our recent partnership with MIXCLOUD!
We will be offering the Crossfader community insights and ways you can help your DJ career take off, grow a fanbase and earn money along the way!
All the info is here: wearecrossfader.co.uk/blog/mi...
Where can you be in 12 months if you put your mind to it? The problem, we think, is that DJs aren't setting goals the right way, and we discuss how EXACTLY you should be doing it.
Plus, we add even more tracks to your library.. with ADD TO PLAYLIST.

Woah! Blown away that you featured my Fred again remix in your add to playlist segment! 🎉 Appreciate all the kind words ☺️ Love you guys!
Crazy how yesterday I sat myself down and made some tangible and intangible goals. Separated into Now, Soon, and Later ❤ I attached the short version below

**Now** 1. Develop a unique DJ persona that reflects my musical style 2. Engage with online communities and social media to start building a micro-community 3. Begin practicing crowd-reading skills during performances & shadow gigs 4. Experiment with different mixing techniques to develop a signature DJing style within the next months. 5. Secure at least three gigs at local clubs or events within the next two months. 6. Attend music industry networking events to start making connections **Later:** 1. Upgrade DJ equipment 2. Produce and release an original tracks or EPs 3. Expand gig & financial/monetization opportunities 4. Establish a strong personal brand 5. Fine-tune crowd-reading skills to improve at adjusting to different audiences. 6. Network with industry professionals to create long-term opportunities and collaborations. (Maybe this will help someone❤)
I add tracks to the playlist, each time I listen to Add to Playlist :D What I really love though is that it exposes me to genres I don't necessarily listen to myself. Keep't up lads!
Crossfader, I subscribed because your videos are super cool!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Will mix cloud pro users have the ability to upload pre recorded sets with video? Same format as KZread but no worries about the copyright?
I’ve had my first two “gigs” one open decks and a radio show but they weren’t the best organised and I have no clips. I want to open for Desiree one day. What is the next step for me in the afrohouse scene.

Congrats on your first gigs 🕺 As we mentioned now you have your big goal in mind, try and work backwards and write down your short and medium term goals. Usually that would be creating content, getting a couple more gigs and building a larger network 🤝😃
You keep saying the tracklist is in Discord but i cant find your Discord link :(
