Same elite mafia owns the sugar and flour mills. They buy raw materials from the poor farmers at dirt cheap prices then manipulate market to sell their products at double the actual price. Their evil axis with the Govt lets them enjoy subisidies in the name of import and export of food items. They pay zero taxes and are sticking to the economy as massive leaches sucking out the hard earned money of the poor people. Those people aren't taxed at all and all the tax exemptions are targeted towards them. Who is smuggling fuel and goods into the country, who is patrolling the borders where all that smuggling is carried out? doing massive money laundering to siphon out the money to the safe heavens abroad. Retailer/traders dont pay any taxes. These are the cancer of the Pakistan's economy. Filer/non filer is just an eyewash. The salaried class, middle class and the poor pay more than they should have paid. But still being mocked by the elite mafia that hey you aren't filer! But that poor person pays already almost 25% of his income in indirect taxations.
