Seth Meyers, late night's "Mr. Nice Guy"
The "Saturday Night Live" alum who has hosted "Late Night with Seth Meyers" since 2014 talks with correspondent Rita Braver about leaving his COVID-lockdown attic and returning to the TV studio, and about whether his sunny reputation hides a dark side. (Spoiler alert: it doesn't!)

Seth is a delight. He seemed uncomfortable that Rita spilled the beans on his generosity to his staff. He just wanted to do something nice without taking credit. Love him.

Watching Seth grow over the pandemic was truly amazing. He was able to show his true self in such a friendly manner. His staff is superb, the writing has been outstanding, and Corrections is the greatest thing to happen to television in a long time

@@rodolfoptx, with Seth on hiatus, the Corrections Jackals are turning on each other?! I guess it had to happen ...
I do like the way that Seth (as Rita mentions toward the end) likes to bring the writers into the light, if not on camera then at least talking about their work, and crediting them. Whenever a guest's conversation turns to an SNL sketch, Seth will always mention who wrote it.
So nice to learn that a talk show host you love and respect is truly as nice and kind as you’d hoped.
The whole family is just so nice, happy, and calming.

YEAH! I love when he passive aggressively insults the people in the comments section that give him corrections that weren’t really needed. He also gives pretty passive aggressive jokes on weekend update on SNL. That’s what I love about his comedy. He’s such a well mannered person, but can be harsh while sounding polite 😂

For those wondering why his Lorne Michaels impression sounds like Dr. Evil. It’s because Mike Myers was actually doing a meta-impression of Lorne when he was playing Dr. Evil.

I’ve been watching him since day one. He kept me informed and sane during the Trump administration. I adore him.
Seth and colbert got me thru the pandemic
I stopped watching Colbert because he was too sad and I was too sad; I didn't need drinking buddy. But Seth was magnificent during lockdown; I will miss the crew's laughter, every show felt like I was meeting up with old friends. A big "thank you" to all.

I watched all late night hosts over pandemic; ya missed your facts on Seth having his kids on; it was one and done. His parents/bro other hand- have come on in past and KILLED it over quarantine. I❤️ Seth Myers; outstanding writer SNL himself etc and his timing wo audience showed so much more talent. I hope he uses this position to not blend back in and across the desk but continues producing what he’s been doing since horrible pandemic. The end!

Love of my life
I saw Seth do a corporate event in NYC when he just started on Late Night, and it was one of the best things I could ask for - he was so nice and genuine afterwards, if you weren't pulling for him before you were after this. So glad his show found the rhythm that works so well for it.
My eccentric high school English teacher had the UNgodly pleasure of teaching Seth and his brother while they were students in Manchester, NH -- to the immense displeasure of all the rest of us high school peasants who came after and will never live up to this man's name.
Okay I already loved Seth Meyers before, to hear how incredibly generous and humble he is only makes me love him more
Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, John Oliver, Bill Maher, James Corden, Sam Bee, Amber Ruffin and the recently defunct show by Lilly Singh are/were my late night pandemic comforts during this and last year.

Yes truly despicable, about the Network not paying the shows staff; those guys are AWASH in cash. It's like the ocean. There's no shortage at all. The only thing they do with is award themselves more $$$$$$$ and more lavish perks. While stiffing the very talented people who make the show work.

3:42 It’s bizarre that Seth has gotten so much mileage out of ridiculing Donald Trump during his presidency, considering back in 2004 Seth played Trump's son in a Saturday Night Live sketch titled "Fathers & Sons" in which he can’t stop fighting with his dad 🤭
It's a nice profile, though it's a little disheartening to see criticism of a malignant narcissist with authoritarian leanings classified as "being political," as though there's a legitimate "other side" to the Trump phenomenon. Seth doesn't criticize the disgraced former president because Seth is liberal, or a Democrat, or "political." He does so because he's an empathetic human being who doesn't want to see the democratic system, and many lives, sacrificed at the altar of one man's ego. It is the only sensible position to take.
