This is something I need to do more. Use side imaging to find those hard spots in the grass especially when my grass gets so thick and isn’t deep enough to punch

I Stopped texas rigging senkos and I started catching fish. It took a few bites to figure out the hook set. Broke a couple off. That top of the mouth hook set is where its at, neko rig works

I don't get to fish grass a lot but man when you find the right hole It's on.

I wish wired2fish could pull strings with the DNR and get contours on our lake there! Especially between Jacob Wheeler and Feider videos out there alone!!! 😁😂😁

If you have a means of getting on your lake than you can custom map it yourself with Humminbird’s AutoChart Live!

I try not to "T" them up but sometimes the devil takes control and I rear back and set the hook like I am halibut fishing! LOL

Unless he's changed recently, he uses an FG knot or some variation of it.

what size hook is he using?

When is a good time a year to throw these? I take it summer or spring time with the short sleeve shirt

What's the deal with your trolling motor and the clusterf@ck of cables?

I find my hook up and landing ratio went way up when i switched to neko. Always get them in to top of the mouth no going anywhere

Hey Chris, we agree. The Neko rig is one of the highest landing ratio rigs.

That hook gets snagged too much while bank fishing in urban overgrown rivers in SoCal; it's ok for fishing open waters from a boat.

I try to ensure that my leader line doesn’t have a bigger diameter than the braid mainline so I go with Suffix 832 20lb when fishing an 8lb leader and then 30lb when using 12lb and finally 40lb when fishing 16lb leaders. My question, should I be going with lighter braid even though it has a smaller diameter than the leader ?

They didnt say how long the leader was, he may have 30 yards and never even unspool the braid mainline, lol

He said he runs 8 to 8 but just beefed the leader up for the grass. Probably doesn't want to respool all his braid. It's easier just to tie in heavier leader. The braid is plenty strong enough to handle it. Old the lighter braid will cast that thing a mile.

Awesome video but it's so funny that he don't take the time to look and enjoy the fish. He just takes the hook out and throws it back. Lol. Wow. I've never seen anyone in a video not enjoy the fish that they caught. For each their own.
