Jim Croce was an amazing musician, I'm glad today's amazing musicians are giving him the respect he deserves.

Jim Croce would be proud to know that his song is living on with Seth & Bob. A unique talent who was taken from this earth way to soon in a plane crash at the young age of 30.

My grandfather was with a group of friends who drove from SHSU in Huntsville, TX to Sherman, TX at Austin College to see him play and they all drank wine and cried on the hill when they learned the news.

My daddy used to sit in our kitchen and play this song on his guitar. Thank you for sharing this!

Seth is so flawless. I'm always amazed a voice like this and the screaming he does comes from the same person. Both are awesome.

There is no words to describe the genius that is Seth avett.

They performed this at the Gorge in Washington state last summer. He changed the words to "operator, you can keep the 2 dollars and 85 cents." That brought a good laugh.

I just found this and I can't stop listening to it.

One more reason I love these guy's... I grew up listening to Jim's songs become top 10 hit on the radio and this song is one of my favorites which is brilliantly done here by Seth and Bob!!!... As Jim did in the 60's and 70's, The Avetts sing about everyday life...it's Triumph's and tragedies we all endure in many ways on our many roads through their musical talents!!!

I am trying to convince myself as well...but i realize that embracing the pain is the only way to learn the lesson of God. That is the only way to GROW through the pain...rather than just go through it. There is a huge difference and thank God i am learning. It would help if the pain would just go away! In due time...i pray it will.

Saw them perform this song live at Chautauqua last year. One of my favorite songs and hadn't heard Seth's cover until that night. It was a great surprise and amazing version. Cant wait to see them again.

Very rarely a performer comes along and does a better job than the original. This guy can write his own check in Nashville when he's ready to play for money. Being true to your roots and dancing with the one that brought you only goes so far.
