I was so pleased to hear the preacher debunk the saying "don't be too Heavenly minded, you are no earthly use". I remember, as a young Christian in my twenties, hearing two older, middle aged, Christian men quite forcefully telling me this, and it caused great confusion to me. However, within two years of their saying this both men destroyed their marriages by adultery. Mr Smith is absolutely right - it is when we are Heavenly minded we are the greatest use for the Lord to make us effective in our earthly lives.

Amen! Take their case to God in prayers, asking God specifically to touch each of their hearts and save them. You could tell their names to God one after another: telling God to break their hearts of sin and give them hearts of flesh. Pray and speak to them about the love of Jesus for them ( simple message of salvation). In due course, you see them get saved by the grace of God. Keep praying even if you don't see immediate change, with time, things will fall in line. Amen

I love this pastor. He is kind, humble, relaxed. I find refuge for my joy and peace by listening to his sermons. Plus I like his European accent that reminds me of Europe where I went to college years ago.

Richard Baxter Directions for meditating on your future life 1. Take responsibility for directing your mind (set your mind on the things above) 2. Learn the art of talking to yourself (your mind needs to be set) 3. Direct your heart n your will by exercising faith in God's promises (take a walk in the new Jerusalem everyday) 4. Use the joys of earth to propel your mind towards heaven (the joy in heaven will be even greater)

"For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen." (2Corinthians 4:16-17) -I really needed this, guys. I've got a rare form of a rare brain disease AND an inoperable brain tumor. The pain is unbearable (as a matter of fact, the medical community even refers to my illness as the "Suicide Disease" bc so many ppl end up killing themselves due to the pain being just too much to endure.... they also call it "the most painful condition known to mankind"). BUT.... if I can think of it as temporary (I know it's progressive but it's not forever!), I know I can get through this! Jesus is with me and He comforts me. When it's my time, IF I get raptured, I'll be pain free! I'm really looking forward to serving my God without worrying about pain or my cognitive issues❤ I 💜 U Jesus!

I rebuke this sickness and command it to go in Jesus name. Pain go I command you to leave in Jesus name! And Jesus loves you! Your a mighty warrior woman of God. This is but a light affliction. The Lord delivers them out of all of their afflictions. The sufferings of this world cannot compare to the Glory that will be revealed in Christ Jesus. Hang on this to shall pass.

Joni Eareckson Tada says she looks forward to a rich welcome into heaven for her suffering. You can, too. Your "well done" may be based on what He gave you to do while suffering well. My "well done" may be that I overcame certain things and did not kill myself, either. I think not killing oneself is a big test some of us must pass. If we suffer with Him we will reign with Him. Count it all joy. Keep going, friend. Endure to the end. See you there.

Before ascending, Jesus gave all the solution of the questions,, HE said "When the Spirit of truth is come, HE will guide you, into all truth" John 16 :13,so as you explain ed, we do not have to meditate ourselves, on future, neither we have to think of our own about 'laying our minds on heaven ly things, Holy Spirit will teach John 14 :26, guide , help & lead , Rom 8:26, 14,,speak Rev 2:7,instruct & empower Acts 1:8,8:29,,& will make intercession for us , also Rom 8 :26, As vain words bring wrath of God Eph 5:6, learn ing the art of talking to ourselves , is like floundering, it is given nowhere in the Bible,, If Christ is all and in all Coll 3: 11,inadverting towards Holy Spirit, in your speech , about 'laying minds on the things above ', do not you think , you have vexed Him ? lsais 63 :10, who is going to show , the things to come ? John 16 :13 ,,,
