Hi Layla, it has a battery slot at the back. As soon as you put in the batteries , the clock should automatically turn on. Check if the batteries need changing

What kind of batteries are needed?

Thats the disappointment with it , even in the light you have to place it at an angle for it to be visible

Once you've installed the batteries in the correct order, it should go on on . Otherwise check to see if it has a switch at the back
